If it were possible for all of the religious people on the planet to suddenly vanish into thin air, then that would be the greatest day in the history of mankind. So, I know it's not going to happen, but it sure would be sweet.

Well, if there is no God, there will be no rapture. Live your life the right way and be good to everyone, so if it does happen, you'll know you lived a good life and cared for others.

If it happens, we "go home" and if it doesn't, we stay here. Anything could happen. Also, something may happen but it's not a rapture. Just be ready for anything.

Nope. Perhaps something else, but not the Rapture... as the Mayans didn't belive in God because they had no idea nor had ever heard of him, why would they base a calendar around that concept? They wouldn't.

Do you mean the Second Coming of Jesus Christ? If so, then I'm not sure. Matthew 25:13 tells us that we don't know the day or the hour when Jesus will return. Also, December 2012 is a Mayan prophecy of the end of the world. I do not regard this prophecy as true because of Jesus. His words are far more important than those of the Mayans.

The Bible does not give a specific time for when this society will end. Jesus gave us what signs to look for when it would be close in his sermon on the mount in Luke of Bible. ]

He never mentioned Rapture or 2012 in the Bible, and the Bible has the ONLY accurate account of Jesus teachings.
