  1. You know what, I think with everyone talking about how Rodgers is so unlucky and everything about the situation hes in, will actually relieve the pressure on him.  Nobody is expecting him to be great, on account of this offseason drama so most of the pressure has been pushed off of him.

  2. LOL...of course Rodgers said he was confident. What was he supposed to say? "Nope, I'm not confident at all. I'm gonna lose my starting job on the first day of practice, and go sit on the bench and drink Gatorade until my contract expires. Thanks for asking."

Rodgers has been saying all the right things (mostly) this offseason...this was just another example.

  3. I'm not a big follower, but with this story all over the place (I live about 30 minutes from where Favre's family is in MS), here's my take: it's not so much that Rodgers was confident of anything, it's just that he took the high road by not making a big fuss about things.

  4. Absolutely. They forced/talked Brett into retiring, which is common knowledge around the league (LT even said it). They are ready to do this with Aaron Rodgers. They spent a 1rst round pick on the guy, and they are going to get there moneys worth.

Now they are doing what ever they can to keep Farve off the field. Throwing Millions of dollars at him. I think Brett should go out there and practice until they release him.

They can't have everything they want. They want Brett to wait till they find a trade that can't come back to bite them in the ***, they want to get over paid for brett (a first round pick for a player who will prolly only play a year), and they want to keep Brett out of rodgers way while they do this.

Brett has given alot to this organization, and they should have either given him his job, or released him to go where he pleases. If they were so ready to move on without him then they shouldn't be afraid to face him.

  5. Now that Favre is semi gone I really think that Rodgers will take over the leadership on the team and drive them to a last place finish in their division.
