  1. yes

  2. He bowled well but the figures are of a blue moon day.

I mean nothing more than a fluke.

  3. yes.

No 1 was getting how he was delivering the ball.

  4. Yes it's true.

  5. Thats what I think. Mendis hadn't bowled to the Indian players and they didn't know how to face him!! But gradually as more and more players will start playing him, they will get more and more used to him and will start picking his deliveries. Also with more better technology, it will be easier to analysise the way he bowls. He will pick up wickets but gradually the wickets for him will stop and eventually he will become like any other bowler.

  6. True the figures are unbelievable at this level but I give all the credit to mendis for his magical figures of 6 for 9.

6/9 is achieved not against a school team but against the NO.1 team in Asia Cup.

Great performance and the figures are nothing less than a miracle.

  7. Not exactly like that.......Turning the ball and doing the tricks in flat tracks is not a fool job........He got a good technique in his bowling......

Watching his bowling closely and the exposure of his bowling in the international arena may create tough time in his career...

  8. now that u asked the question it gets me thinking

after thinking for awhile i have come up with this conclusion...................he might be the weapon bcoz most players have neva played him b4 but the fact that he is gonna be equal to murali one day is bcoz of his own skill

    comment to the yahoo man

i am sure there is no use of u going on about how to face him coz i dont think the indian team has the time to look at the YA in these dayz coz of the up cumin test and i dont think us YA cricket answerers will not be facing his bowling anytime soon........lol kool answer though ........ thumbs up by me

  9. No, infact most of the new bowlers are almost unplayable in their initial days. I too observed him bowl very closely. What I learnt is that he is called the "Mystery Spinner"!!

He can bowl 6 different balls in an over- which makes life of a batsman miserble.

First thing would be 1) NOT TO STEP OUT and HIT HIM THROUGH LINE.

    2) You may not pick him up from his hand actions - so better to read the ball off the pitch. It may be bit difficult to time the ball properly - atleast you can gauge the ball and its movement.

    3) Also try to figure out a formula of his bowliing - like may be he bowls the 1st ball - Offspin , 2nd one Leg spin 3rd - Flipper 4th again armer, so try to notice a pattern he generally bowls.

Of Course Facing Mendis would have been good - but in anycase he to keep it cool and just play right behind the line of the ball.

  10. No!Mendis is bowling realy well!!

  11. Yup basically that is main reason

  12. He is simply phenomenal because if somebody praises you especially a word class spinner bishen singh bedi who criticises Murali then surely Mendis can be another Sri Lankan great to watch out for.
