  1. nah. i think the angels will

  2. No. The Angels are playing a lot better this year and I like their pitching staff better than Bostons. Boston will make the playoffs, and maybe even the NLCS, but they probably won't beat Las Angeles.

  3. no, they arent consistent this year just a reminder 2 red sox fans, the yanks were world champions back-2-back-2-back n then one more.

  4. No.  The Red Sox historically don't play well in Aug. & Sept but that's when they are in 1st. So we'll have to see if they have what it takes to come from behind. Are they looking back at the other WC contenders or are they focused on catching the Rays.  The Rays are STILL playing lights out ball.

There's still a lot of baseball to play but I really think the WC will come out of the Central and the Rays will win the East.  I don't think the Sox will even get to the post-season

  5. i think the can

  6. No, they might not even make the Playoffs.

  7. They are definitely in the running...the Angels are the favorite right now in my opinion but I would put the Red Sox and Cubs right behind them...I really don't know why so many people are saying no...anything can happen in October...so I think the Sox have just as good a shot as anyone who is in the running for the playoffs.

  8. in a row?

Having been a Red Sox fan since before 1986, you know I certainly wouldn't object - but as long as the Yankees don't win it I will be a happy camper.

  9. No.

  10. Sorry not this year. This is the YEAR of the CUBS! It will be Cubs and Angels in the World Series.

  11. Not this time bud

  12. Let me preface this by saying Im a yankee fan.   Ok  If you ask me I say they are the favorites to win the WS.  The angels can rack up all the regular season wins they want.  Who did they Angels lose to in the playoffs last year?   The got hammered.  It looks like the sox will beat out the yanks for the wildcard (hope not but....)  if they do I would consider them the favorites.  Becket unbeatable in a big spot. So thats 2 wins in a 5 game series 3 in a seven game series. All they need is one win a series from another pitcher.  Not to mention their lineup is stacked with CLUTCH hitters. If they make the playoffs I think they will win again, only chance they dont is if yanks catch them for the wildcard.  In the playoffs I dont see a team beating them.

  13. ANGELS ANGELS ANGELS ANGELS!!!!!!!!!!

  14. no

  15. NOOOOOOO!

  16. nope, watch out for the angels

  17. No, without Manny they are no longer a dangerous team.

  18. I hope not, the boston bandwagon needs to take a break!

  19. If they had gotten some Bullpen before the Trade Dedline, then yeah I think they could have. But since they didn't I feel that they won't get much farther than the first round of the play-offs. Though there is still a very good chance, because they're line-up is incredibly powerful. Any team that has Bay batting sixth is looking pretty good offensively. And the starting pitching is very solid. Lester and Matsuzaka have been having fantastic years, and Beckett we all know is an ace pitcher and will come around. Wakefield is also a solid 4 pitcher, and maybe Byrd will give a spark in the 5th slot and have a great year. So if there pitchers can go 7 innings consistantly, then the Sox will win it all.

  20. No they won't & I said that at the beginning of the season.  It may be some time before we see someone win back to back WS titles since many teams have improved

  21. No, Manny Ramirez was an important figure in their 2 previous championships, and Jason Bay will not totally fill that gap. Plus, they aren't getting the same consistent pitching out of the bullpen.

  22. Ask me again in October when the Playoffs start.

  23. NOOOO!

  24. No. They're not as complete a team without Manny. The Angels or Cubs are going to win it

  25. No becuase they will probably have to play the angels in the ALCS if they get there and they can't beat them.

  26. The Angels are one of baseballs best teams. And so are those rays. The red sox could beat them in the postseason, but its not likely considering how awful they play on the road and if they get stuck with the wildcard they will be playing most of the postseason on the road if they make it to the world series they might face the amazing cubs which i would not mind them losing to considering how long they have waited for this.
