Sox need a bat or a wicked pitcher now that the Yankees signed Nady

I wouldn't if I were the GM. No place to put him....not to mention he was released for a reason.

He brings little to the table.

The Yankees didn't SIGN Nady, they traded for him.

The Red Sox can't SIGN Teixeira until AFTER the season.

They COULD trade for him in the next couple days, but why would they?  That would mean they'd have Lowell, Youklis, Teixeira, and Ortiz to share 3B, 1B, and the DH spot.  Too many players, not enough positions.  

They're not about to trade one of those players, all of which are under multi-year deals, for a 3 month rental player.

So, NO, they will not TRADE for Teixiera.

Don't worry,your pitching and bats are good enough to give the Rays and Yanks all they can handle.Teixeira would cost you TOO much!

Well they cant sign him they have to trade for him and in the off season they'll sign him but what about lowell and yuk what are they going to do with them

It depends, the Red Sox organization sometimes gets a little cocky thinking they don't need any players, and then sign a player we don't need just so they Yankees don't get them.

But I think the Sox need another bat in the lineup (along with another relief pitcher) because we really are not what we were last year. But it's unlikely because they don't want to trade any prospects when they can just sign him at the end of the season.

THe sox will not get teixeria because youkis is a good 1st baseman and he is really good where he is in the lineup so no. They will need to get a short stop like a omar infante or someone in that range would be a good pickup.

They will have to be willing to fork over the prospects to make a trade. But I dont see where the Sox would put him. They're filled in every position right now.

I dont think so because they have Ortiz for dh and I dont think they would give up Youk. My brother said they could have Texiera play first, Youk play third, Lowell play second, and Pedroia play shortstop but i dont think it will happen.
