Do you think the response to Gustav will help absolve Mayor Ray Nagin's handling of Katrina?

I think this hurricane will go some way in repairing his image and mayoral legacy.

  1. It was everyone working together(including the people who live in Louisiana), which made this turn out a lot better than what it could have been. It won't absolve his handing of Katrina though, because that was another storm. The damage has already been done.

    With Gustav, however, his reputation a calm and focused man will be remembered more so than his negatives. No one is a perfect human being. Also remember that it was not only the local government's fault for the damages Katrina did, but rather everyone; The local, state, and federal governments could have done a lot better. Even the people could have done better for not staying on them about the problems that faced (and still faces) the gulf region.
