  1. Singapore as i am aware of has a facility to recycle water using membranes and they call it newater i think and i believe other countries will follow suit when the alarm rings and hopefully they would have developed the technology than.

  2. I would think all you need to do is look at the flooding to know we have plenty of water.......the doom and gloom people just need another issue to help give their lives meaning.

  3. On Earth, no. Where would it go? Locally, yes. Some countries rely on "fossil" water, lain down centuries ago and not replenished at as great a rate as it is being used. Without new sources, such as desalination, these places will be up the wadi without a paddle -- so to speak.

  4. No. But we could s***w it up to the point that it isn't usable. For instance, many of the rivers and streams in my watershed are polluted with DDT. DDT was banned in 1979 but it stays in the ground for decades. So currently (I guess until it works it's way out of our watershed) they can't be useful for drinking water.

Not to mention people flushing pharmaceuticals, antibiotics, medicines, and chemicals down the toilet which end up in our water supply.

Then you have mining operations, the food industry, industrial plants, and a smorgasbord  of other water polluters including some of the people in your own neighborhood.

  5. Water will never run out unless outer space aliens come down and steal it from the oceans. 75% of the earth is water, about 20% is unsalted fresh consumable water. We are all 75% liquid and only 25% mass, it relates well with the earths proportions. There are processes we can use to increase the fresh water supply, but are expensive and will have to be implemented due to the rise in the population. So no, water will never run out. At my job we recycle water back to nature and we don`t hug trees in the process. We keep the neocons from getting sick and dyeing by preventing disease.

  6. what about the rains-have you thought of? Is it non-stop gift of nature?

  7. all of the water currently in consuption is recycled. So as long as it is not polluted to the point where it could not be recycled we are good. I do hope the oil runs out quick thou.. since france has already released the first car that runs on compressed air

  8. It will not run out. The price will go up though.

  9. The earth could not run out of water because all of the water in the world is recycled. You could have drank the same water a caveman could have drank thousands of years ago.
