  1. Not if they have to win every game 8-6.

As much fire power as they have they have never replaced Khabibulin.

    Ray Emery?

  2. I hate to say it, since my Atlanta Thrashers are in the same division as your Tampa Bay lightning, but they have a pretty good shot.

-Lecavalier is easily one of the most talented players in the league.

-St. Louis, wasnt even suppose to make it in the league, look at him now

    - #1 draft pick Stamkos

-Hall of fame Coach Barry Melrose

-goaltender on the rise in Smith

-They do have an ex hobey baker award winner (Best NCAA hockey player) in Matt Carle, but it looks like Defense will be there weak point.

This team is going to be fun to watch, After being one of the worst teams in the league, i think they will comeback to make the playoffs, def a possible contender depending on Goaltending

  3. No, they won't win the stanley cup.  No i am not insulting them.  They will be a good team and I believe they will take out the flyers or rangers of a playoff spot.  Depends on who they play in round 1 but I think they will be one and done.  Only because its been a few years since they were in the playoffs.  As some red wings fans have reminded others you don't win the stanley cup overnight.

  4. Not very likely that they win the season.  But I predict that they will win sometime during the season.

  5. They won't get the cup if that is what you are asking, and personally I do not believe they will make it far in the playoffs, if they make the playoffs. However they do have a great future but it is too soon for them. Of course this is a prediction made in mid July so things could easily change.

  6. Win what?

    -a game (yes)

-a free tank of gas (maybe)

-a lifetime supply of tampax (no)

    What is your question?

  7. Teams that win the Stanley Cup arent built in a summer! It takes a few years of tweaking the line-up after you find a core group that has good chemistry (see Detroit). That said, I think the Lightning are on stage 1... finding that core group and gelling together. They will make the playoffs, but I dont see them making that much noise in the playoffs. Next summer will be a year to tweak the team and compete for the CUP if this core group finds good chemistry.

  8. if you mean win the stanly cup this season then no.

but i do believe they will have a good season and maybe even make the playoffs.

    like come'on they got

    lacavilier

    stamkos

    stlouis

    so they will be good

  9. I'll let you know in June. Insecure much?

  10. nope Oilers all the way

  11. I guess that all depends on how you define win the season. They will win more this year than last year, but they will not win the cup. No defence, no goalie.

I read somewhere they are going to be playing some games in Orlando, Cabrera. Is this true? In that article it also said Nate Robinson was picked for a development job. I can see him getting picked apart.

  12. 30 teams have a chance to win the cup

  13. The Ning have a good team but they lack the goaltending or defense to win the Cup.

You'd need Sunglasses at night to see the future this team has though...."Corey Hart song from the 80s for anyone out there".

  14. The new ownership is starting from scratch, rebuilding the core and ready to bring up a lot of the young players rather than break out the wallet for new ones.  Yes they did a lot of offensive pickups, however they stayed true and trust the potential on D with Wishart, Smaby, and Picard all being top 1st and 2nd round picks.

On top of that they are setting up the organization past just the team itself.  They restructured the coaching staff of their AHL affiliate to make Norfolk more competitive, they've restructure their front office, and they just reached a deal with ECHL affiliate in order to have 2 farm teams systems now.  They are definitely building for their future.  I think they will do very well in the SE division that is kinda weak, they will win more than they did last year, and make it to the playoffs.  I don't see a cup but to the guy that says 30 teams have a chance, well if you make the playoffs 16 teams do, and those are still some good odds.

  15. no
