well i heard the there going to be a remake of a movie of the 1963 classic the birds and as of right now there are no cast in the movie, but i heard Martin Campbell, the director of James bond movie "Casino Royale" which is a good film, is going to the direct the movie but was rumored and i might sure it be good or appear to be a average movie. i predict the rating for the movie is Rated R, Right? Agree, your opinion are the rating on the movie. just don't say "i don't care what the rating is" cause it will hurt my feelings and i don't accept it. will this remake be any good, people? OR average?

  1. I think the timing of this remake might be just right, and the announcement that Naomi Watts will star came as a nice surprise.  I think that is some great casting, she would be perfect for the lead role.

This is one remake I am actually looking forward to and very interested in seeing the outcome.  If handled right, it could be a very successful and enjoyable film.

There's every chance they could botch it like so many other remakes, though.

  2. Naomi Watts just might be able to pull off the Melanie Daniels part made so memorable by Tippi Hedren. But,the casting of the rest of the cast is really key,I think to the success(or failure)of the film. that and going off half-****** in some way to try and make the film "relevant" which is usually the kiss of death for a remake. Just don't mess with Hitch's brilliant point of view and they may have something. It'll be fun, thinking of who could play Mitch. Clive Owen, maybe? But one thing I do know, they've simply GOT to get Veronica Cartwright for a small scene, preferably the hysterical woman who keeps shouting,"I think you're EVIL!" until Melanie slaps her.

  3. Pu--LEEZE.... unless they dig up Alfred Hitchcock the new version will have no prayer of being anywhere near what the original is...

  4. Are movie remakes ever as good as or better than the original?  I can't think of one.

  5. I have no doubt that they'll mess up this classic horror film.  Hitchcock was the master of suspense, and his movies were not meant to be remade.

I'm sure they'll add explosions.  And a soundtrack, which, in my opinion is the very worst thing you could do to this movie.  That dead silence was such a great effect in the original, and added to the suspense.

It will be rated 'R', and I'm pretty sure we'll see at least one pair of eyes gouged out by beaks.

  6. How are you going to compare something that doesn't exist to something that does?  But NO ONE can touch Hitchcock.

  7. I'm not quite sure, but whether it is a good movie or not, I highly doubt today's generation will enjoy it. Many will probably claim that it's 'not scary enough' or that the concept of birds attacking is not a good idea for a movie. Most people today only care about gore, special effects, and lame comedy, so I highly doubt that people will accept or appreciate the movie, whether it is well made or not.

  8. Man, Birds was a superb movie. If they top if, the effects better be over the top, and my grandparents better want to go see it.
