  1. I believe that's true up to a point.  However, there are also things that happen in life that are completely beyond ones control.  Things come at you, whether or not you've been thinking about them.  The things that come up in our lives that are beyond our control are given by God to teach us life-lessons.  AND sometimes God uses things in our lives that we ourselves have created to teach us life-lessons.

  2. Yes. "Be careful what you ask for, you may get it..."

So why don't you write down what you want in life? That is what successful people do. And then wait for it to become true.

I have written down everything I wanted in life. Since age 13. And 80% of what I wanted, I have gotten.

    20% to go.

  3. that can be true. on the other hand you have to be careful to not push the things you desire away with your greed for them.

  4. I use to fear this, and still do to a point.  The strange thing about it is that the mind is a very powerful thing.  Sometimes when I think I am fat, I look in the mirror and I look really big.  Or when I think about being sad, I become sad and depressed.  If that was possible though, I could think I was rich and famous, and become that, but it just isn't possible.  So in a way it is yes and a no with me.

  5. Some will answer yes.

Many monks and other people have done mind over matter exercises that were successful. They have done things that science can't particularly explain.  Many monks have slept on knives and did not receive a scratch. There was one monk who meditated for six months without food and water; he survived. They had believed they would survive and they had, or they believed they would not be harmed and they were not...

    But others will say no.

Some say that science can explain these strange phenomenons that the mind over matter theory had provided us.

I say yes cuz a "scientific mind over matter" thing is aspirin. What it does is that it fools the brain into believing you are in no more pain, and the pain subsides. Well, the monks have been able to deceive the brain without the use of aspirin. But it depends on how you see it.

  6. What consumes your thoughts controls your life.

  7. My thoughts are of God and He possesses me.

  8. That sound about right. A person prepares for life, and usually those preperations result in a career in that field. You set standards for a person to marry, and so many other things. It`s you who decides what you want. Now, go get it.

  9. No, I don't agree with that.

But I'm not judging anyone who does.

  10. I do not believe it will DETERMINE what I will possess or not, but I do believe it will INFLUENCE MY BEHAVIOR in regards to obtaining or achieving something I want or need.  Having thoughts and thinking continuously fuel additional thoughts and contemplation, which fuels the perspective one holds, and serves to fuel the behavior with which one chooses to respond to his/her environment.

  11. No, its best not to think about, just do. And I don't believe in the law of attraction, that's a gimmick, and it didn't save people from dying from starvation, it didn't give a person hearing back, so no.
