Yes, she may have been a potential suicide bomber...but she gave herself up..

What on earth was the need to chain her up like an animal like that???

Why was she "paraded" (in the soldier's own words) in front of journalists??

Why were photographs exposing her body published???

This is a terrified, weeping, 15year old child...probably drugged & forced to self-destruct by her fanatic family...

Isn't she as much as a victim as the people she may have killed???

Wouldn't it have been more humane/civilised to have had her questioned her in private???

I find the treated meted out to this child as barbaric as the crime of suicide bombing.

  1. I find your sentiments sadly misplaced and worse you believe that her feelings should be put before those of her innocent victims. Sorry if this upsets your trail of thought but at least she is still alive.

  2. What frightens me is that a 15 yo could EITHER be brainwashed or forced.

I do accept your point that whatever she is , she is a child, but sometimes in cases such as these the greater good should come first.

Yes she is a victim but her suffering offends me far less than the suffering she originally wished to inflict.

If they showed respect and humility to her then that would be a green light to theses groups to use yet more children.

Terrorism is ugly and this event is one of it's faces.

  3. you think killing possibly hundereds of children is as bad as being arrested and searched in the street??

    ARE YOU ON CRACK?!@

  4. sorry Faith, i think it was justified, in fact i think if this kind of treatment were used to young serious offenders in this country.. it would solve a lot of the problems that we have.. no its not nice to see a young girl 'degraded' but at least she is alive and more to the point at least INNOCENT kids are alive.. x

  5. The soldiers that stopped her are HEROES. They've saved many lives and they should be applauded for it. It was not possible to remove the suicide vest without revealling her underwear.

I hope you realise that the terrorists take advantage of soldiers reluctance to search women's bodies and that is why more women are being used as suicide bombers in Iraq.

You can take political correctness to the point of idiocy if you are not careful.

  6. Faith:

thats a telling name you have

if YOU had to go and take a vest containing many pounds of high explosive off of a person (who has already changed their mind, once), would YOU be happy to do it while she could potentially still trigger an explosion?

would you have the 'faith' in her chnage of heart, to be able to do that.

as for exposing her.... well, where did they put the explosives????

clue: it was in a vest...... how would you suggest removing the vest.

{edit} i just re-read your question and noticed this comment at the end "I find the treated meted out to this child as barbaric as the crime of suicide bombing."

    you are a Moron

  7. she should have been shot dead... anyone who goes near a school with a bomb deserves nothing better

  8. just because she gave herself up does not mean she deserves our sympathy

Simple fact is she was going to blow up a school, god knows how many kids she could have killed

    She deserves everything she's getting

  9. Faith,my easy going friend. If she walked into your child's school, and detonated herself, how forgiving would you be then?

Faith - if you are brought up all your life, believing in something,i.e religion, and have never questioned it,then you would be capable of anything,no matter what your age.We will have to agree to disagree on this one.

  10. i'm sure she'll revcieve treatment and counselling afterwards, however, in terms of suicide bombers, you should be praising the police as i'm sure they could have easily used a 'shoot to kill' policy on her. yes, from the sketchy details she is a victim, but to answer your question, how would you have detained her?

    x

  11. not though enough.

  12. Hi Faith, those pictures look terrifying, yes I agree she should have been brought into a private room, but also, look at the damage that she could have done to herself & others.. I really can't see the reasoning for all this suicide bombing... drugged, brainwashed etc..

    It's frightening!!!

  13. I believe the treatment meted out to the15 year old girl was completely justified, if it deters another child from doing the same thing then it has served its purpose. Suicide bombers whether they give themselves up or are caught, should not expect to have any human rightS or compassion they are THE LOWEST OF THE LOW.

  14. You know Faith ~ if it was your children's school she was stood outside ~ I doubt you'd find the treatment meted out to her QUITE as barbaric as the suicide bombing that could kill all those innocent children.

I think terrorism is disgusting. Hold fire on how she got there ~ she might have been really committed to the cause.

  15. I would prefer to look at this child, who still has some dignity intact, rather than look at my own child on a table in a morgue with no dignity left at all.

  16. I feel more sorry for the rest of the kids of this planet with people like yourself that think the treatment of a suicide bomber is more inhumane than the actual bombing. We are living in a time where the criminals rights far out way the victims we are heading for anarchy because of people like yourself. Now you get in more trouble for protecting your home than someone would for burgling it.YOU ARE READING A STORY IN A NEWS PAPER DO YOU KNOW IF THIS WAS A FULL AND TRUE ACCOUNT OF WHAT HAPPENED?

  17. The Police say they caught her while she was behaving strangely. She should have been shot dead on the spot. How long until her friends try this and kill innocent people.

  18. You have a strange morality if you think that what that silly girl went through stands any comparison to the effects of a bomb.

  19. I think they were right to cuff/chain her to that railing. What if her giving herself up was a ploy to draw more members of the security forces in close before detonating and killing as many of them as possible?

The police etc would not have known she was forced against to become a bomber against her will until after she had been questioned.

As to parading her in front of journalists after? I think that was wrong and she should have been given some dignity.

  20. Could have been a whole lot worst though if she hadn't.

  21. Yes I do she was a potential killer of innocent people.
