there is only one person that can say what happened, and it is unlikely that the abductor will come forward and put the McCanns out of their misery.

Since the McCanns are unique in being the only parents of a missing child to refuse further questioning from the police or to take part in a reconstruction the answer must be no.

The way they have obstructed the enquiry ultimately hampered the search for Madeleine and caused the case to be closed.

i really hope it does..i feel for this lil girl, my lil ones only a year older and i dont think i could be as clam as the mccanns, i no they say well u do but i cant see it...the end of the day if they hurt her then they know and have to live with that guilt, who knows hey, she may be alive somewhere with a family who doesnt leave her home alone!!, soz but id never do that...

i think everyone needs to remember that there was a twin boy and girl of much younger age in the room too and they still went for madeleine. if someone was to kidnap or want to sell them then itd be a lot more logical to choose one of the twins as theyd be harder to recognise when they grew up. unfortunately i think its most likely that shes been dead for quite some time.

Yes, I'm an optimist and I think it will come out, eventually, but maybe not to the consolation of her parents in their lifetimes.  If we discount the theories that the parents did it or that Madelaine somehow wandered off on her own into the sea there are two possibilities, either that she was abducted by a nutter acting on his/her own, in which case if they have not commited suicide they could get caught for a similar sort of crime in the future, or that she got abducted by a slick up-market international paedophile gang who are going to be tracked down and exposed eventually.

It looks to me as if the truth has finally come out.The only question remaining is where is little Maddie. It is now clear that she was abducted by a person or persons unknown and that this person was not the parents or Robert Murat  as all three have been officially cleared as suspects by the very police force that made them suspects last year.

Eventually, yes. However, im suspicious of them both.

Why did she or her siblings not start screaming? Perhaps Madeline knew her kidnapper.

If it was a random person, then would the police not have some sort of lead? What about the blood in the family car?

And (this may be nothing but still), what about the teddy bear Kate always carried about with her? Ok, she may be carrying it around for comfort, but what if she's not? What if there is evidence on the bear, therefore she carries it all over the place so the police cant look at it.

I think they may have been involved.
