  1. Why would we want the UN to run the oil fields? They couldn't (wouldn't) stop the genocide in Rwanda, do nothing about Darfur, yet they're expected to competently run multinational oil fields. Too much corruption and too much money going into bureaucratic pockets. Remember Iraq and "oil for food?" That turned out real well, didn't it. UN out of the US now.

  2. We should have kicked their @ss along time ago and done this rather that spend money and lives to rebuld and protect their government but theres no time like the present.

  3. You are joking right? RIGHT?

Asking the U.N. to take over anything is just plain crazy.  They have more corruption in it than Swiss Cheese!

  4. That sure would upset the Americans. Petrol is still cheaper there than in a lot of countries. Apart from that, what would give the United Nations  the right to dictate what an individual country does with it's mineral resources? Then, if everybody is going to pay the same price, you have to dictate to all countries how much tax they levy on oil products.

  5. Don't want the UN doing much of anything except moving out of New York.  The UN is the most corrupt organization on the face of the earth.  At this time they could give the mafia lessons on how to extract money from countries.
