  1. Medicine is difficult and expensive.  It can take 8 years to get the education, then another 3-4 to get into a specialty.

Regarding Harvard, It is the oldest and number 1 university in the US.  I think that reputation is good enough to want to apply there.

Not all med schools are created equal.  Remember: half of all doctors graduated in the bottom half of their class.

If you live in the south and are looking for a good med school, University of Miami is considered one of the best.

  2. It is very good, and hard to get into.   It takes at least 8 years and is expensive.    It is also difficult.   (not defecult)

  3. you will get a good education at any med school. Most of the differences have less to do with the school and more to do with the school's reputation, which attracts better students. I mean do you really think Harvard is teaching things that other schools aren't? Like they are somehow priviledged to all the new treatments before other schools are. I don't think so.

If you want to be a physician any school is good. If you want to be a medical scientist, then Harvard would be better than a lot of them.
