  1. God no.  Not now, not ever.  It's one of the few pleasures in this world which we don't get taxed on!!!

  2. It was only taboo in the sense it was not spoken of. People still had s*x, but didn't advertise.

Now we advertise but do not necessarily get as much as the media would have the lot of us believe.

  3. no result of their actions high teenage pregnancy because its like a secret n forbidden fruit

    curiosity killed the cat

  4. It was not s*x that was taboo but talking about it or openly discussing it that was wrong. In fact it all boils down to self respect if you do or do not indulge in s*x is no one's business but your own. A little modesty is not misplaced. By the way what you do in your private life is up to you but keep it private.

  5. Double standards springs to mind s*x was taboo as far as 'nice' ladies were concerned, they did their duty and wore themselves out having babies.  My Great, Great, Great Grandmother had 9 and died at the age of 37.  TB she had, not helped by all that begatting!

The men seemed to think it their right to have mistresses, the higher their status the more open they were about it.

A complex society, repressed on the surface, seething underneath.

No, I don't think they were correct at all.

  6. I don't know if they were correct, but they sure did have a lot of children.
