1. Yes... I think if Rowling had killed Harry, Ron or Hermione...I would have been very tempted to execute that fate upon her...ok just kidding. But I would have been really upset, esp Harry, after all his been through " after trying his strength", to just drop off and die, would have been an anti-climax!

I think that he named his son Albus Severus, was one of the most- selfess things his done. Even though he must have still fostered ill feeling towards Snape, because of Snapes's treatment of him. He realises thats Snape's Life since Lily's death has been dedicated to His (HARRY'S) survival.

I think the book ended Brilliantly!!

  2. Yer, I liked the ending. The Epilogue though....errrr..... J.K is releasing a prequel though! YAY! And no one say anything about Harry's first born, James, I'm auditioning for that part when the auditions come along! So Scres you all! MWAHAHAHA! PS:only like 12 minutes to answer! YAY!

  3. Hey the ending was perfect with one little flaw that it should have ended 5 pages earlier.

  4. no

  5. It doesn't really matter if we liked it or not, that's the way it is but I LOVED IT! And if J.K. Rowling liked it, it shouldn't be changed because it wouldn't be her writing style, and Harry Potter shouldn't be any other way.

  6. I LOVED THE ENDING!

    but...

the 17 Years later was a bit corny..

    I mean come one....

WHAT WAS THEIR KID'S NAMES?!?! RETARDED NAMES.

But yesh i loved it <3

  7. yes and no, i can't quite decide.

  8. Yes I liked the ending very much.

  9. I finished the last Harry Potter book yesterday, and I liked the ending. I read it while heading home on the bus for 5 hours, and from like 700th page I cried 3 times. I really enjoy emotionally hard books, and last one fit in that description.

The last chapter was.. well, happy ending. Although I do not like books with happy endings, that one was reasonable. Harry [and everyone else] deserved it.

But Albus Severus is not ok :)

  10. I don't think it was a good enough ending, at all!! You know I didn't want Harry to die, but after reading the end I was like perhaps he should have died. However, I have to agree, as an ending for Harry it was probably perfect because all he has ever wanted was a family really. But for me....no! Too corny, boring and unsatisfying. Not a good end for a brilliant series.

  11. I must admit I wasn't as hooked all the way through in the last book as I was in some of the other Harry Potter books. I thought the beginning was good, maybe the first 4-5 chapters, and the last 4 chapters were good, but I struggled to keep reading the middle. So it took me a while to read the book but once I got to the last few chapters I thought it ended well. The chapter with Professor Snape's memory, (which for the critiques explains why Harry names his son after him) and Neville standing up to the Death Eaters at Hogwarts. I would have liked to have heard more of an insight about Hogwarts other than Neville becoming a teacher there, but it has to end somewhere.

  12. Not at first, but it really was an amazing ending.

  13. The battle was awesome, though..

    the last part - no!

    Harry and Ginny??? NO!!

And naming their kid Albus Severus - way corny!

  14. Yes and No

The ending fits for the overall story. It ties up pretty much all the loose ends and gives you a satisfying emotional closure with most the major characters.

The big issue really has less to do with the ending, and more to do with the overall story. In the end we find that Harry never really has to make any hard moral decisions. Although he has flaws, they never really get in the way of him being able to do the right thing. This ends up making the overall harry potter series less satisfying in the end.

  15. yes, i felt so satisfied when i closed the 7th book.

  16. no, it's not good. It's perfect!
