  1. We are responsible for our own actions.  You can not hold the casino responsible for letting you in the door.  No, I don't think she has a case.

  2. NO. People these days love pointing the finger of blame at everyone but themselves...

  3. Well, I for one don't live in, or want to live in, a nanny state or country. If I choose a legal activity and do not act responsibly while doing it, then whatever happens is my own fault and problem. It is not the casino's fault, so why are they being sued? As long as they're following gaming laws, they are not in the wrong. (And even if they were breaking gaming laws, that would be the gaming commission's problem, not the gambler's.)

The fact is that there are many sources of information and help re: gambling addiction. My state even puts the gambling addiction hotline number on the back of every lottery ticket that's sold here.

So it's easy to find help if we need it, and anybody who goes into a casino to gamble is an adult (and is, therefore, legally capable of deciding how much, if anything, to risk on gaming.)

What more do we gamblers want? Somebody to hold our hands? Somebody to blame when we go on a losing streak? Yeah, right. I'm an adult and, as such, am responsible for myself.

  4. Did the fat ppl win the lawsuits against McDonalds??  I don't think so.  She won't either.  Like everyone else was saying,  we all know what we are doing.  We just want to put the blame on someone else to make us whole again when we've lost it all.

  5. Was she dragged kicking and screaming into the casino and forced at gunpoint to bet her money?

  6. Not unless she went to the casino and asked them to not give her any chips after a certain point in her spendings a month or something. It takes more then just complaining about her 'gambling addiction' at the tables to build a case. Unless something like that happened then she is probably won't have a case.

  7. she's stupid i swear. everyone is reponsibility for their own action. and aren't you sick of people who are in power try to use it in favor of themselves. just because her dumb *** is a lawyer, she's gonna try to sue the casino. what about all the other people with a lower economic status who gambled their life off. they might as well sue too if she wins her case. she HAD money, she couldn't control herself. and plus, even if she had all the education to become a "successful lawyer", she should have known help was available. she's ridiculous, i'll say that flat out. the woman is a nut.

  8. No.  I see advertisements warning about gambling addiction, just like you see for alcohol, etc.  She knew what she was getting into before she stepped into the door!

  9. no people need to be held accountable for THEIR OWN actions. She should stop blaming the casinos, and start blaming herself

  10. Sad to say, but she will probably win. It is no different the person who sued McDonalds because she spilled her coffee on herself and got burnt. Well, who would have thought that coffee was not hot? It says right on the container. Some people are just that dumb.

  11. I havent read the story, but I dont think she should blame the casinos for her gambling problem. There are lots of addictions. Gambling, alcohol, drugs, food, shopping etc...You cant blame others for your problems. You have to take responsibility for your own actions. Lots of people can gamble without going out of control. The ones who cant, need to seek help. Not blame the casino.

  12. no. but i didn't think that the girl suing mc donalds for "making" her fat had a case either and look how that turned out!

  13. Yes!!!!!!!!

  14. she doesn't... it's just like when those girls trid 2 sue mcdonalds for getting them fat. but they weren't granted a case because they had a choice to stop. so its the same thing just different persons

  15. She's a desperate nut case.
