haha I wouldn't doubt it, actually. if words like cool, tight, sweet can all mean "good" or an expression of approval, then why can't "stub" mean stupid and dumb?

  I doubt it. Although a stub is a smaller part of a complete ticket, a stub has great value as proof of purchase, it tells the holder exactly where to sit at an event, it can let you get back into an event you left, and it makes a great souvineer of an event. A stub is a good thing. Look for some other word.
