No, that has nothing to do with it. the world will not end in 2012 at all. if you think this then why didnt the world end in 1012 on december 12. but it didnt 666 may be the devils berthday but 12, 12,12 wouldnt matter. it wouldnt mean that the world is going to end on that date.

I guess you could say it is about twice as likely as the world ending on 6/6/06, as many people claimed THEN. (Two times infinitesimal is still infinitesimal.)

You don't even have the date right.  All the hype was about Dec. 21, 2012, not Dec. 12.  This is how careful people are when it comes to ridiculous claims.

This one is no different except that it has the advantage of being promoted by the History Channel.  The irresponsible airing of that abysmal "documentary" is one of the worst decisions ever made in television programming.  And they did it proudly, and repeatedly.  Anything to rope in a bigger viewing audience.  The Internet, of course, has served as a fountain of misinformation on this subject as well.

No, I mean, that is a perfectly logical date for it to end and all, but to base an apocalypse prediction on the fact of something as arbitary as a date that is in some way double the mathematical equivalent of 666... is a little meaningless.

Personally I do not think God would have the apocalypse arrive on such a date. If you are a Christian -- which you seem to be, based on your reference to the number of the Beast -- then you also know there will be about 6 months of suffering for Christians before the Earth actually ends. We will know when the anti-Christ arrives, so when that happens, you will know exactly when the actual end will finally come -- 6 months time.

PS -- when the f*ck are people going to learn how to spell "psychopath"? How does anyone figure it is "phycopath," there isn't even an "S" in there. It is not a hard word to spell, folks. Psy-cho-path.

No, not really.And here's why.Every four years, there is a Day added to our Calendar, February 29th, thanks to Leap Year.This 12-12-12 Prediction, which is also 12-21-12, is supposedly based upon the Mayan Calendar, and it doesn't add up the same, with the absence of a Leap Year.That's only one Day every four Years, but over a period of 2,000 + Years, that adds up.What I am worried about is the 8-8-8 Date.This, like 9-11 , could be a motivation for some nut case, again.Of course, I thought the same of Y2K, and I was wrong.Hope I'm wrong about 8-8-8 too !

First of all, 12,12,2012 is NOT, repeat NOT a double of 6,6,6. Secondly, the current calendar is at least 4 years off, since Christ was actually born in 4BC. If you had paid attention in 3rd grade, you would know that 2 x 666 = 1332.

In any case, there is no way to tell whether the universe calculates in base-10 numbers. So the particular combination of numbers is trivial.
