the program said about 13 crystal skulls supposedly placed in a circle with each other in line with a main skull in the centre said to be placed there by alien forces around certain parts of the world. 8 of the skulls have now been discovered including the main one, its predicted that if they are not all found and placed in the right positions before the date then the world will end according to writings and evidence they found, maybe someone is right about aliens. these crystals are meant to create some sort of energy between them when they are all found and enligned.

  1. I don't think it will end, I just think there will be a lot of loss of life and a good deal of destruction.

And if it is true, I'd rather be living my life while I can and still dreaming as if nothing will happen. I feel that if you are optimistic enough about one thing and ACT as though it will (or already has happened) then it will

  2. No. This is based on the Mayan calendar and is essentially hogwash.

  3. No.  Like pretty much any other prediction of doom and gloom, it's based on a ridiculous premise or superstitious belief.

  4. oooooo, it betta not, im in australia then...pfft =/

  5. Maybe Spielberg is a prophet afterall. [shrugs]

  6. noway we would miss Christmas ;-)

  7. I would have done a huge exam in June 2012 for nothing then...

  8. No,it's my birthday the following day so I just wouldn't stand for it.If it's that thing based on the Mayan Calender then it's not the end of the world but a world cycle. The earths axis flips at that point and another 'time' begins.Axis flipping is nothing unusual or anything to worry about by the way, check it out. It's misinterpretation of these things that's causing pointless angst.

  9. Ask this question on 22/12/2012, will be able to give you an answer then.

  10. Discovery Channel?  Okay....., but it sounds like a gospel I've never heard.  Be leery of any alien you may encounter.  He will not be a friend.

  11. When I got to alien forces I stopped reading.

  12. Well, here's a detailed list of "end of the world" predictions going back to 2500BC. So far they have all been wrong, each and every one.

So no, the world will still be here in 2013. No worries though, some wingnut will come up with a new prediction when that one doesn't pan out. The Apophis fly-by of 2029 is a good candidate, so I predict that after 2012 we here in Yahoo answers will  see 17 years of "Will the world end on 4/13/2029?"

I will answer in advance: No. :)

  13. That's funny : in the X-Files' last episode, they also say that the alien invasion will take place in december, 21  2012.

  14. No. Well ,I hope not anyway

  15. No, it won't end. It'll just be so crappy that we'll all wish it had.

  16. I have never been thinking about this, but when people come across ancient wisdom, I never make a single challenge because I don't possess the knowledge to cross-check any fault or error.

I know a comet or planet can be dead, and I think it is a logical projection for our Earth to be dead some day. Severe natural disasters are clear warning on the abnormality of our Earth. I have been living outside of US and have never experienced any tornado, tsunami, earthquake and thunderstorm so far in my life, but in recent years I really feel more uncomfortable to live, not to mention the polarization between human beings which makes me a little discontent.

The date may not be important, but I really think there are more tough days to come. For instance, the freezing of iceberg in Anarctica is scary enough!

Just try our best to live.

  17. The date in question comes from a Mayan calendar date, which represents the end of a 'great cycle'.  Nowhere does it state that it will be the end of the world, merely a time of great change.

Do a search of Yahoo using 'Mayan calendar 2012' to find out more.

Personally, I think it is just one more in a long line of end of the world prophesies

  18. December 21 2012 is the end of the 'Mayan Calender'

  19. yeah i heard about that, something to do with the georgian calender, they never wrote it past that date because they seemed to know that the earth would no longer exist, i think they have the right idea... with global warming, terrorism and nuclear weapons, i don't think it would be impossible for humans to destroy the earth by that time, we have the tools. lets just hope that people will see sense and stop terrorism and get rid of the nuclear weapons

  20. Never underestimate the power of human stupidity.

This is so stupid that if enough people believe it then it could come true.

Stupidity always was a capital crime.

  21. The 4,784,834th end of the world prediction. None of the others has come true, so why should anybody believe this one? You could probably come up with a better prediction by looking at patterns in dog mess.
