Do you think the world will burn or freeze if we don’t stop global warming? What of Global Dimming?

Question

In the 1970’s the nightly news was full of claims that Global Warming will lead to a Snow Ball Earth.

In the 1990’s they changed to the idea that the world will dry out and burst into flames, killing all life both above and below the sea.

Which do you think will really happen? (If global warming is real?)

Additionally, do you know about “Global Dimming”?

How do you see the fact that the microparticulate mater in the atmosphere has been keeping the earth cool so now that we are redusing the amounts of particulate matter in the atmosphere is suposidly going to make Global Warming increase exponentially.

Do you think that we will be able to come to a compromise between global warming and global dimming?

Or are we just screwed? LOL!

blimey! i missed all that! too busy doing my homework ....

'snowball' or 'slushball' earth is a very recent idea only a decade or so old, and refers to the period 600 million years ago when it looks like the earth mostly froze over (i guess the algae got a bit over enthusiastic).

Global Warming will both freeze and burn the earth.. Europe will be sent into an ice age. This is because a water current that flows from indian gulf gives off steam which supports the life on Europe. If that were to freeze, so would Europe.

And the Eastern Countries and the North American countries are already burning... so...

In the 70's it wasn't global warming that they said would lead to snow ball earth. At the time warming wasn't the concern it was the fact that they percieved a global cooling trend and at the time if you voiced your objections to what they thought of as the facts you would have been labeled as a denier by the true believers but at that time the greenies weren't as numerous so the cry wasn't as loud. Just goes to show you why I don't think any kneejerk reactions to the global warming theory are warranted, if we would have followed through in the 70's we would have been trying to melt the ice caps to prevent global cooling, and yes that WAS one of the proposed solutions by the believers.

U can do it your self. Watch the weather and the temp is-------- and record high is -----and the record low is -----. Watch when we start breaking 100 year old records u need to pay attention and u will find which way it is going.
