  1. no.... but that is interesting. can u plz post information concerning this?

  2. I think 2008 did.

  3. i think something is gonna happen sooner or later...

  4. No

  5. Maybe but not because of the Mayan calendar prophesy nonsense.  I would think it would have more to do with natural disasters as a result of a warming climate.

  6. No more than usual.

  7. i dont belive that 2012 sh*t

  8. you mean like 2000 made all of the computers stop working lol

  9. no i think people are juparanoidnod, i think its just gonna be another year but if it does end...or something disastrous does happen...live it up blood.

  10. Why? What's gonna happen in 2012? do you know something we don't?

  11. Only to those that die that year.

  12. Some folks would have you think that the earth ends on 2012, others that massive earthquakes, volcanoes etc all happen.. Who knows?  I tend to think that we'll just keep rolling thru space same as we've done the last few million years.

However, with more and more people on the planet, it might be time to be moving where things are less crowded.

    My 0.02 ...

  13. NO! do u remember Y2K? lmao. it's going to be the same thing...people running out buying stuff they don't need because the TV tells them. TV will have lots of segments about it on the news and a lot of "ignorant" people will believe everything they say.

So IMO, No. Then End Will Be When YOUR Time Comes :)

If it happens, and I'm Wrong, I'll Buy You A Beer.....if we live. :)

  14. No, because nothing will happen in 2012. 2012 will just be like any other year.

The world isn't going to end on December 21, 2012, just the Mayan Calendar ends. Let me tell you something. The Mayan Calendar has to end sometime and did you know when the Mayan Calendar ended the Mayans would celebrate? Besides, nobody can't predict when the end of the world is. You shouldn't always believe what you hear from other people. Those who spread rumors about 2012 should be punished. You know what is sad, people may commit suicide over this thinking its the end of the world. That's why those who spread rumors about 2012 should be punished. You know what else is false about this 2012 garbage?

*Planet X isn't going to hit the Earth it doesn't exist.

*Poles are switching everyday, this isn't going to happen all in just 1 day. This process takes thousands of years. Throughout geological history there has been may pole switches and life has still survived.

*Sun will be lined up with a sunspot, but it doesn't mean it will wipe out all life on Earth. One time ago, Earth was lined up with a sunspot and people were on it and everybody didn't just die.

    Each time the end the world is predicted. They are always wrong. Here are all the predictions of when the world would end and each time they where wrong. Before 2012 it was 2006. Then 2000. And 1990, 1988, 1987, 1986, 1985, 1984, 1982, 1980, 1975, 1974, 1970, 1967, 1960, 1957, 1953, 1948, 1940, 1936, 1919, 1915, 1914, 1891, 1856, 1850, 1844, 1832, 1830, 1794, 1792, 1736, 1689, 1669, 1533, 1524, 1496, 1346, 1284, 1205, 1033, 1005, 1000, 992, 968, 500, 375, 365, 200, 90, 60, 30. SEE!! The end hasn't came and all this shows they are wrong!! Through out history the end has been predicted but has never happened so, whats the point of worrying?

You know what is sad? People may have committed suicide thinking the world is going to end all because of these lies. So, please don't live your life in fear. Just live your life be sucessful and don't worry. It isn't going to happen!

  15. perhaps... its the solar cycle's sun spots peak, its in the mayan calender, predicted by edgar casey and others, and the bible speaks of end times but gives no dates, only signs of the end times, like wars and rumor of wars etc.... but i'm not going to live my life in anticipation of it, i'll just be prepared just in case.

  16. No - why should it.

Nothing spectacular will happen in 2012 (unless you count the Olympics in London).

It is just a myth which mysteriously propagates (mostly because of the History Channel and YouTube)

The Mayan culture/society/way of life is long since dead

Therefore as an end to "the world" 2012 was a wildly optimistic estimate for them!

And anyway – that is the wrong interpretation of the whole calander thing – it’s just the end of a cycle. And since calendars are based on astronomical motions of one kind or another, they are inherently cyclic. Our western calendar ends on December 31st every year!

Planet X/Nibiru does not exist. If it did we would have found it by now. We have mapped the sky in the infrared several times in the last 25 years (including WMAP, IRAS etc), and it would show up. It is not there. We would have found it if it existed. So all the nonsense about the return of Nibiru/Planet X is just that – nonsense

There is no scientific evidence for the existence of Nibiru

Furthermore, at the distance it must be to hit us in a little over 4 years, it would be reflecting enough light from the sun to be detectable.

Thanx to previous question from Brant and answer from bikenbeer2000, we know how bright it should be by now – it would have a apparent magnitude of 7.4 – which would not be visible with the naked eye – but easily visible in a modest telescope and would have been spotted by amateur. If there was a conspiracy to keep it quiet – it would be out of the bag by now.

Ask someone where it is supposed to be, get a pair of binoculars and look for it.

The videos on YouTube that purport to have evidence are disingenuous to say the least. They put together pictures of other objects (e.g. Jupiter, comets even a dust shell around a distant red giant star) and try to scare people. There is no validity to their claims. They present NO EVIDENCE at all.

As for the predicted catastrophes – the most popular one seems to be the Pole Shift!

The sun will have a pole reversal that year – it has one every 11 years – it is not a problem.

The earth’s magnetic field is less predictable –

but is still nothing to worry about: we know that the magnetic field does not collapse in the process of reversing polarity- if it did, there would be major extinctions that correlate with the geologic record for pole reversals - there is no correlation.

  17. As disastrous as Y2K, I'm sure.

  18. no... no one on this earth can predict that according to my religion and my beliefs god\ can predict that

  19. No. The Mayans are bunch of liars.
