Can't even trust the NBA,NFL,MLB, and others as they will fix games to sell more to the public. Sports are run similar to the US government. Yes or No.

  1. No

There might be some bad called games ... but thats all .. and they won't fix any games with current things going on with NBA

  2. i think some NFL games might b fixed for the ratings to be good, they want certain teams to play each other.

  3. NO, and I honestly hope that it is NOT true. Yes, refs make mistakes, they are human just like us. Many games are questionable(Kings-Lakers, Celtics-Lakers(Game 2)).. Many games are questionable although I hope they aren't true. Some games are just ludicrous.

  4. for the nba its hard to say its not the two teams that they wanted in the finals were there and thats were they got more media equaling more money and can you imagine how much a detroit san antonio game would have made? and both the lakers and celtics came from nowhere the season before and had big trades go through to make them get to the finals

you know you cant say for sure but the evidence is there for sure in the nba in the others its harder to pick up

  5. They are not fully rigged, but they probably rigg the NBA the best they can to make more money. The refs have the toughest jobs of deciding discrepencies, but some of the calls are blatenly(spell check plz) one sided. Stern really wanted the Celtics to win so that the Celtic fanbase would come back (comon, what sells more? The Lakers getting another Finals which most won't remember or a revival of a great franchise?) The NBA isn't entirely rigged because the outcome is based on talent, but its an entertainment business.

  6. Overall, I don't think most games are fixed.  If they were, SOMEONE would have blown the whistle by now.  There's just too many people involved to keep it all a secret IMO....BUT

NBA - might be sometimes.  The foul calls in certain games/series are so borderline ridiculous in the way they all go for 1 team over the other that I could believe some of them are fixed by refs like Tim DogNutsHee.

NFL - might be once in a while also.  Penalties like Holding and Pass Interference occur on almost every single play but if a "dirty" ref theoretically wanted to change the course of the game to fix it, he could easily call an untimely Holding or Pass Interference penalty on a big 3rd and long conversion etc., when the same penalties were being committed all 12 plays before but weren't called.

MLB - probably rarely IMO.  Other than calling balls/strikes unevenly (which happens occasionally), it's hard to fix a baseball game because A) so many people would have to be involved in the scam and B) it's incredibly hard to "fake" hitting home runs or hitting pitches in general.

  7. No but the media creates all this drama between teams like Boston and Yankee's just to sell games out and sell other stuff just for the money.

  8. no..i dont think there fixed

  9. i used to be unsure, but now i would say yes, & i think the only question is to what extent are they fixed?
