I just read this article & it pulled at my heartstrings:

Living in a southwest state I understand the immigrant problem all too well yet ripping families apart seems to be beyond wrong. I read a case of where the father was American, yet the mother (married) was not - she was deported along w/ their American child bc he had to work all day (child would be cared by her). Ugh.

There HAS to be a better way, don't you think?

  1. Ripping families apart?  They broke the law.

But it is a fact: the child can go with their parents, and in fact also, that IS as it should be.

The Mexican Government and La Raza claims they are U.S. Citizens, but the 14th amendment clearly tells us you are not a citizen unless you are subject to the jurisdiction of the United States.  Illegal aliens are not subject to American Jurisdiction, and while Congress is stalling as hard as it can, (and hurting a lot of people both American and illegal alien), they are not, and cannot be, American Citizens until the law is changed, or the Amendment is changed.

Do the family and the child a favor... send the child home with their parents, and stop this incredibly expensive fraud.

That would be a much better way indeed.

  2. The better way is to keep families together and deport the whole lot.  If one of the parents is legal and decides to stay and support the kids, fine but don't expect the system to support you.  We're the only country in the world that automatically grants citizenship to a person born here, even of undocumented parents.  That's the real problem and the reason that people continue to come here.  They're using their kids as tickets to continued residency, and it's nuts.

  3. yes....it's called DON'T COME TO THE US ILLEGALLY IN THE FIRST PLACE...that would solve all of that family's problems.  The father should've made a better choice in who he married/had kids with and the mother should have never come over here illegally to begin with...it's the children of these irresponsible parents that pay the price for their choices...

  4. I hope not. We need to send a clear message to these people.

Latinos, its called federal law. And ignorance is no excuse for trying to avoid it. How many families are "ripped apart" when a parent goes to prison?

  5. The child has a right to citizenship in the mother's country of citizenship.  She was wrong to violate the law -- she never should have come here to begin with.  And her husband married an illegal alien.  He is welcome to move to his wife's country, if she will apply for his immigation.

There is a better way -- anyone who wants to immigrate to the US has to apply and wait in line along with all the others who are law-abiding.

And if you want to feel sorry for someone, feel sorry for all those families shattered by illegal aliens who murder a family member, or sexually abuse their child, or commit other crimes.

  6. The most logical way to deal with this is to build a wall along the border and secure it.  That way no more will come here and thus these situations will not crop up.

The best thing is for the man to join his wife and kid in her country so that the family isn't split up.

  7. Yes,deport the whole family.

  8. The only way to deal with these Deportions is by Stopping them. According to the Bible it is wrong. These Human Beings are doing the Exact same thing as we did to get here yet they are being called Illegal for that. Again I say Immigrating is a Nature thing and those that have a problem with Human Beings Immigrating into this Country or any Country for that Matter need to take that problem up with GOD because it's a way of life. I to understand these Human Beings needs and what their Aim is. Alot of the things I'm hearing on Yahoo about them I find to be very False. I've seen them Selling their own Cars to make a living even out Fishing to Feed their Families. So it don't look like they is Knowingly trying to be a Burden on anyone. And another thing this Immigrations Debate is Focus on the South end of the Border and we all know how it is down South. Author, Eddie Smith

  9. Yes, I agree. My 3 kids are all US citizens, but they have never been able to meet their family in America yet because their mother is still doing the immigration process.  (3rd year now)

Next September our oldest daughter(6)  will be faced with a difficult choice. She must choose between an education or her mother.  There is no chance for here to get an education unless she goes to the states, but if she goes she'll go without her mother.

American families are separated because of the illegal immigration epidemic.

The better way is for this crime spree to be ended, and if anyone wants to enter the US they should do it legally.

  10. Yeah--- stop all illegal immigration.  If you are going to break laws, your children and family are going to be impacted.  Fact of life.

  11. The case in the article you cited involved an illegal alien father, who was arrested for further crimes as well. The children wound up with their American grandparents' in Washington.

Suppose the man had been American, and committed crimes. Would there be an outpouring of sympathy for him because his children wound up in the custody of their mother's parents while he went to jail?  No, there would not.

It's a matter of responsibility and if you place yourself on the wrong side of the law, you must be prepared to accept the consequences. Enforcement is the logical solution and end the illegal alien influx into our nation.
