  1. Odds are huge that life exists on other planets.

  2. Before you can answer that we should first look at our own planet for different forms of life & I am talking of "alien" life existing on our planet right now !

  3. yeah i do think so.

But due to the difference of oxygen, gravity ( stuff like that)

I suppose that they have to have different characteristics than us.

Maybe they are intelligent, maybe they are dumb as a rock.

    Who knows?

  4. There is life Yes. However, wether it be Carbon Based life such as us, we do not know.

Most scientists rule out there being life on most planets because there is no Air or Water. But, that is really only ruling out carbon based life forms. Every life form adapts to its surroundings.

  5. Currently, scientists are looking at the atmosphere's of exoplanets trying to see if there are organic molecules present (such as methane).

So far, one exoplanet has been found to have methane in its atmosphere (HD 189733b).  It's a gas giant that orbits very close to its parent star, so by our standards, it's far too hot for life to exist.

The presence of organic molecules in a planet's atmosphere indicate the possibility that chemical reactions that could support life may exist.

That doesn't mean there's life there, or that life forms would look like us.

It's just a step on the road to trying to learn about our universe.

Personally, I like the quote (Carl Sagan I think) ... "if we're the only ones, it's a huge waste of space."  :-)

  6. There are no prove that there's life on another planet. But the question is, do you believe that there are life on another planet and does it matters to you?

  7. A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

  8. in the visible universe, there are, in theory, 750,000,000,000,000,000 solar systems. it is mathematically inprobable that life is limited to our solar system... one planet for that matter.

in our solar system, no other planet has life.

mercury - too hot; no air; no atmosphere

venus - too hot; too volacanic; no air

earth - perfect for life... water, perfect atmosphere, temperate climate.

mars - too cold; no oxygen

jupiter - no land... its a gas giant; no oxygen

saturn - again, its a gas giant; no oxygen

uranus - gas giant no oxygen.

neptune - and yet another gas giant; no oxygen

pluto and other KBO's - too cold

now life on moons is a different story. recent data sugests that there might be a liquid ocean of water beneath the crist of europa. scientists think there may be some life there whether it be plant life, or fish. europa has about the same temperature and overall conditions of anartica and recent life has been discovered there. nasa is planning to send a probe to europa by 2020.

  9. There could be life  on other planets or other galaxies or universe come on it's a big place it's possible maybe we shouldn't be looking for it through we may run up on the wrong thing.

  10. Yes has been found.

  11. IT is a mathematical certainty.

Now, intelligent life... that's the questions.

Once again, it is a mathematical certainty.

  12. there are more stars in the universe then there are grains of sand of every beach on earth. and each star has lots of planets. we can't be the only one with life.

  13. The Universe is infinite, of course there is life.

As the poster above mentioned it is a mathematical certainty...

Primitive life outside our planet is likely in our galaxy, but intelligent life in our galaxy is very improbable.

Where as in galaxies long, long, long away, it is very probable.

But not a mathematical certainty like the ******** above said that's going by the username zero.

The ******** poster above I was mentioning was ZERO

  14. Yea, I do.  No one can be absolutely sure of the boundarie sof our universe, and with the possibility of there being billiones and millions of stars just like our sun out there, why not??

But like the other perosn that answered said, they may not be intelligent.  Those planets may just be starting their life system, with bacteria just like we did.  And depending on the planets climate, their life forms probably look completely different from ours.

  15. i believe microscopic life

so far we are the only ones that we know of so far .

but check this news  out ..

Three "super-Earths" found near sun-like star
