Do you think there's more hate because of this whole illegal immigration issue?

I've been called an "anchor baby" because I was born in this country (yet my parents came here legally) and I've been told to go back to Mexico (I'm not Mexican) and all of the hispanics at my school get called illegal immigrants and told to go back where we come from. One time in class illegal immigrants were brought up and a lot of the students were saying how hispanics are dirty and don't shower. A lot of the hispanics in my school don't even speak spanish! The teachers don't even say anything, they pretend they don't hear what the other students are saying. People say they don't hate hispanics, only ILLEGAL immigrants...but it doesn't seem that way. Someone told me I should blame the illegals for all this hate going on!

Shouldn't I blame the people that are being ignorant? I'm starting to think it's more of a racial issue.

Yes. I think if you were able to peer in to the unconsciouses of many of the more strident "anti-" people, you would find an unpleasant mix of xenophobia and racism.

yes its not your fault but you should stand up for the hispanics if you really love and care for your own race

illegal immigrants aren't all bad trust me they seriously just come to work, just think how many life's are ruined because of deportation its horrible i hate it breaks families apart

and it breaks my heart seeing it in the news all the time

Schools should not tolerate racism saying that mexicans are dirty etc. is racist without a doubt. You can do something about it, tell the principal, tell the dean, your school board, make yourself be heard!

illegals are not to blame. They say that illegals give all hispanics a bad name, is that a good enough excuse to be stereotypical and/or racist? i dont think so, that is your own issue, not the illegal immigrant's

thats f*cked  up that they say that to you, im not hispanic, but my father came to this country legally, learned the language and then adopted it as his native language, talking to him you would have no idea that he wasn't born here, and thats why illegals p**s me off so much, my father and grandparent worked their a** off to get here and once they were here they worked hard to make something of themselves and succeeded, i mostly see and hear about illegals sneaking to america stealing our jobs and then taking our money from our jobs and sending them back to their country, in a way we are being invaded

and yes you should hold it against the people who say that stuff, because they say thing that dont apply to you, if your here legally you are an american and should be treated as such, anyone who says otherwise is ignorant, i feel bad for people like you because your caught in the crossfire, those people should be ashamed of themselves

if you start to see it as a racial issue than it can only get worse, try not to see it that way, keep your head up

ive never hated anyone so much...Mexicans are ruining this great country. I think the greedy Americans who emply these low lifes should be thrown in jail. That would stop alot of illegal aliens from coming here, b/c they wouldnt be able to get work. Also, all the apartment complexes that give shelter to them, should also be fined. They know d**n good and well that they arent legal. ok ok...i cant get all riled up.......and they arent immigrants they are ALIENS!!!!!

There a so many patriotic Americans that came from South and Central America, they have served and died in the US military.  They have educated themselves and quite a few of them don't like the criminal element.  

Unfortunately, according to the news media and pictures on TV showing the overwhelming support of hispanic Americans for illegal immigration, its no wonder that theres so much hate.  Watch the major news stations, Hispanics seem to support gangs, drugs and drive by killings.  It seems like the hispanic community doesn't want anything done about crime?  Most people want criminals behind bars....  unfortuantely, it appears the the hispanic's want to protect theirs.  

EVERY prior immigrant thats come to America has assimilated and have become Americans.  Not the current batch of illegal mexicans coming over here, they want to bring Tiajuana to America, don't want to learn English, contribute the MOST to crime, tagging, costing American citizens billions of dollars a year for free medical, housing assistance, free food.

They need to come here legally, become true Americans, stop trying to turn America into a third world nation like mexico.  Stop protesting and waving mexican flags at American citizens while protesting, stop putting "I love (insert your favorite state in mexico)"  if its so good down there.....  MOVE BACK!!!!

Deport all illegals back to where ever they came from... Canada, Europe or South America or Central America.

For one thing the schools should have a zero tolerance on this. No child should have to go though that while trying to earn their education. Its wrong no matter what.

Second just from reading others comments on this I see a lot of hate toward Hispanics, BUT I have also seen a lot of hate towards Americans from Hispanics. My boyfriend is from Mexico and I hear a lot of racial comments from him at times. I wont go into that though. BUT again I hear it from Americans also. I think it just goes back and forth between the two.

I also think that most Americans are mad, jealous, whatever because a lot of Hispanics have good work ethics and strong family values. Admit it people most Americans dont!  In the 5 yrs my boyfriend and I have been together he has missed 2 days of work.  1 day the birth of our son. 2nd day a miscarriage I had and he took me to the hospital.

On whole, yes.

I'm against illegal immigration - but I have personal reasons and probably a different perspective then some here

I dated 2 of them long term and have 2 children.

They were both men were deported

1) for drunk driving

the other for domestic assult

I did my damnest to help them both out but in the end I got ******.

Now I am a single parent because "oh hes too white " meaning my son is too white.You are d**n right that hispanics can be racist.

I read something that he wrote in a letter after he told me to" have fun with my kids" it said " Americanas eres malas" Meaning that american women are bad people.

Due to all of this my opinion has changed DRASTICALLY.

The race stuff is garbage knock it off - both sides.

Of course there's more hate. Most illegals are from mexico and really paint mexican people in general in a bad way. A lot of Americans are beyond fed up. The people to blame are the illegals,they're racist towards Americans(especially white ones) and they are the ones creating the hate and tension.
