I don't get the meaning of your question . We have People of Chinese background who are citizens and those who are foreigners .

Those who are from China cling to many of the customs, foods , etc that they had in China . Their children will adhere to some of their parents cutoms and foods . Each generation getting farther away from the Chinese , and becomming more like the modern American .

Of course , the same can be said about people coming from any foreign country .
