maybe we're a part of a person.

maybe we're so tiny tiny

that we're just atoms ourselfs

maybe our atoms are made out of atom and so on and so on and so on

  1. This is very good, perhaps if I could grow my self forever and ever I would find my self sitting on some ones table. Perhaps the 4th dimension is size. Now think about this perhaps if I could grow my self for ever and ever I would find my self right here where I am now typing on this computer!

Isnt every thing else in the universe a circle? Think about that:)

  2. I thought about that... so has every stoner and person who has seen animal house.

But seriously, physicist do crazy things with the theories out their. Like I was just reading this thing on wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tipler_Cyli... where if you had an infinite cylinder made up of neutrons you would be able to go back in time....

This has little to no relevance to mankind as it isn't possible to do, but physicist come up with these things anyway. So, when it comes to crazy theories just look some physics stuff up and you'll get so sick of their crazy ideas you will never want to imagine anything ever again... gotta love science =)

Heres another theory about the universe bubbling off another http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bubble_univ...

    crazy...

  3. When you hear that tiny little pop in the back of your head,...it means you need more sleep. I'm only kidding, that's a beautiful question and an interresting philosophy. Quantum mechanics has a tendency to dry things out, but when you look into it further and keep an open mind as you obviousely have, you'll see that maybe not "people" or atoms made of atoms but definitely infinitessimally small units of matter that eventually break down to pure energy. Don't ever stop thinking, Descartes could have been right all along.

  4. i've always steered toward this description of the universe as fractal. sorta like... within ourselves, we contain ourselves. a while ago i remember someone observed that the smaller components of our being do very much resemble our galaxy. it makes me feel less small in the vastness of our universe to believe that i am outside of the universe as well as within it.

  5. I would very much like to speak with the people of Whoville.

    :)

  6. Your question is brilliant! And it is also true. Every atom is a world unto itself. And our great universe is just a tiny dot which exists within another living creature. Only those who have the ability to peer beyond the vale of reality can perceive this notion. You have this brilliant quality with you! Continue to think as you are, and reality, truth, and knowledge shall follow you all the days of your life. And you will one day merge with a grander creature than can be imagined by most whose minds are closed. Your mind is open and clear. These "visions" you are seeing are extra sensory in nature. all you need to do now is cultivate them!

  7. No, because I can make up a million different 'what if' or 'do you think' questions like this.  But none of them are really worth any serious thought without evidence to support them.  The good thing about imagination is that we can come up with things like this.  The bad thing about imagination is we often fool ourselves into taking them seriously.

We know that atoms are not made of little universes, and we know that our universe does not resemble an atom.  As mentioned, ask this in the philosophy forum.  They'll probably have fun with it.

    To Guitar:

"the ability to peer beyond the vale of reality"

Reality is that which is, well, *real.*  If you're looking 'beyond reality' then you're looking at things that, by definition, aren't real.

  8. Short answer is no. Atoms are composed of subatomic particles - protons, electrons and neutrons - which in turn are made of smaller particles - quarks (except electrons).

  9. I used to think along those lines, too.... and along the fractal ideas, too.... still do.... but as you learn more about atoms, you see that as much as we like to see them acting like solar systems and galaxies, they really don't.... go see some pictures of atoms that have been smashed apart in the particle accelerators.... their parts don't act at all like planets and such.....

but the fact that you're thinking is WONDERFUL!!... keep it up... dig deeper in whatever interests you... we need more young minds that ask those questions and seek the answers to them!!...

  10. this is more a philisophical question than a scientific question. universe's do not exist in atoms, and neither does our universe.

as for the atoms made out of atoms, not really. atoms are made out of subatomic particles, which inturn are in theory made out of "quarks" which is the smallest, most subdominent particle in the universe. we aren't thousands of atoms, our body has an uncountable number of atoms.

and again, the universe question would probably be put under philosophy. people in this section always give the scientific answer. if you want an answer of someone asking another question to supposedely asnwer your question, i recomend philosophy.

  11. ehh

when you split an atom it explodes.

when you split us open we bleed.

    sooo...

    no

    =]

  12. wow, thats really interesting.  kind of like the end of men in black.  but probably not because like atoms are just made up of protons electrons and neutrons.
