  1. as of now universe is still expanding.

  2. Two theories here...

Infinite universe: the universe goes on and on forever and if you were to fly off into the distance in a space ship you would constantly find more and more new stars and galaxies until the universe dies of heat death.

Finite unbounded universe: the universe is made up a finite amount of mass and energy but there are no edges. If you left Earth in a space ship and went in a perfectly straight line you would end up right back at Earth. This is because the universe kinda wraps around itself, both edges connect.

In both theories there are no edges. We don't know which theory is right right now as we have measured the gravitational waves from the Big Bang and there were no conclusive results. If the universe was infinite there would very simple very big waves. If the universe is finite and unbounded than there would be no larger waves because of the limited size of the universe and the waves that could "fit" would be arranged in patterns because of them passing through the hypersphere (the name for the shape of universe). Observations have seen no large waves but no patterns... This was a little off topic but I though you might like to know. I find it interesting as h**l  =)

  3. An end is a begining.

  4. Yes it ends somewhere, far beyond our comprehension though.

  5. Yes there is - it'd be the edge of the universe.  However, the universe is expanding, so the "ends" are getting farther away.

  6. If you were a two-dimentional creature contemplating the same question, but your universe was a sphere, then the assumption that "no end" and "goes on forever" are the only two possibilities would be flawed! Some think our universe is like that,, "finite, yet unbounded," is the phrase often used.

  7. If it started as a point and expanded then logically it is finite, not infinite.

  8. nope space keeps going on and on like the bottomless pit and if you keep going you never know what your going to find out there it could be a new planet,or asteroids,or anything.

  9. At the far end of the universe there is what you call "nothingness". Where nothing exists, just plain, eerie nothingness. If you were to put your head in that place, you would not remember yourself.
