  2. There is no danger, relax

  3. Not at all. Putin and the hard core communists just want the USSR back together.

  4. No.  Russia only wants what they feel is theirs.  That is Eastern European countries it had under the USSR.

  5. Scrooge, I'm dissapointed at you. I thought you were much more reasonable than this.

How exactly is it going to "spill over"?

There's no relation whatsoever between Georgia and Iran, or Georgia and Iraq, is there?

Don't worry so much, dude. You know better.

  6. the only way i think there would be danger is if they came across some u.s. troops and started firing at them then we'd be at war with them. don't u read the news?? russia is at war with the country georgia right now or fighting them at least.

  7. No, Russia is just throwing a temper tantrum like a spoiled child.  It shows in the excess force they are using against Georgia.  Russians provoked the situation so they can hit back at Georgia in punishment for Georgia declaring their independence. Russian citizens or not, the South Ossetians know that South Ossetia has always belonged to Georgia, so if they want to be part of Russia they just need to pack and move North to North Ossetia, instead of keep provoking the government of Georgia.

  8. No, I think Russia is just flexing its muscles.

  9. hmmm

    good question

    why Georgia?

  10. Good thinking.Already America is planning to attack Iran. But there need to be a big reason to mobilize huge army. In the pretext of helping Georgia ,America may enter Georgia through sea. Then Iran can b attacked from 4 sides. Georgia ,Iraq ,Afganistan,  Pakistan.

  11. Yes, but a slim chance.

I think the conflict has a lot to do with Russia controlling the supply of oil and gas to europe, and if can get away with taking control of the Georgian pipelines, it might consider expansing it's oil and gas assets by taking Turkmenistan...

  12. dunno just have to wait and see

  13. I think the GREATER danger is to the Ukraine and other former European satellites of the Former CCCP.  Tsar Putin NEEDS those lands to rebuild Russia's economy, and he needs conflict to unite the Russian people.

Heads Up Germany !! If Russian TV starts running digitally enhanced versions of "Alexander Nevsky" it's time to get WORRIED !!

    "Vstavaitye, lyudi Russkie,

na slavy boi, na smyertny boi..."

  14. no it wont because georgia does not border iraq or iran it borders turkey

  15. No, because Russia's fight with  Afghanistan left them  with a bad taste in their mouth.

  16. This dispute has everything to do with Nationalism and nothing to do with anything else.

  17. The Russians are simply trying to end their 40 year losing streak. They decided to pick what appeared to be an easy target so that they could virtually guarantee a win.
