Question:

Do you think there is any truth in what Manny Ramirez is saying about the Red Sox?

"The Red Sox don't deserve a player like me," Ramirez said. "During my years here, I've seen how they [the Red Sox] have mistreated other great players when they didn't want them to try to turn the fans against them."

"The Red Sox did the same with guys like Nomar Garciaparra and Pedro Martinez, and now they do the same with me. Their goal is to paint me as the bad guy," Ramirez added. "I love Boston fans, but the Red Sox don't deserve me. I'm not talking about money. Mental peace has no price, and I don't have peace here."

What is your take?

  1. I am honestly tired of the whole Manny Ramirez story just like I am about hearing about Brett Favre.

  2. No there is no truth to this b.s c**p manny says and remey prove it last night.

this comment just set me off. I hope to god he is traded today.

  3. In My opinion, Manny is just trying to talk his way out of Boston. I think it's working too.

It's not a very good idea on Manny's part though, those other guys he mentioned like Nomar and Pedro never were as good as they were in Boston.

Anyway, the red sox have been babying Manny too long and it's just time to let him go.

  4. Manny is making an @ss of himself. Unfortunately, some team will overlook his attitude problems and give him a big fat contract anyway. The same thing happens in football all the time when some player thinks he's the greatest thing since sliced bread and wants the ball every play. At least in baseball nobody can complain about how many chances they get (as long as they are in the lineup and near the top), because the coach doesn't decide where the ball goes on each play.
