but as far as tonite I have not gotten ten movements in an hour like i did this am. I have gotten about 5 an hour tonite. Is it ten movements in 24 hours or ten every hour? I get very confused about the movements, what should and shouldn't be. I also got a stress test done yesterday and things were ok. should i be worried?

  1. my dr said 10 movements in 2 hours, hiccups dont count. I wouldnt worry too much if your stress test (or was it a non stress test?) came back fine. obviously keep track of movenments still, if it gets to be 4 hrs til you count 10 movements then i'd call.

  2. you are fine...5 movements an hour is ok... i would be concerned if there was a period of time with nothing or very few...he/she is still active

  3. No need to worry Your baby may be just be a morning person .As long as he or she moves through he day and you feel it,the baby is fine.Congrats and enjoy your pregnancy!

  4. When it comes to your baby moving.  It will go in waves throughout your pregnancy.  Sometimes your baby will be very very active and sometimes the baby will be rather quiet. (That means they are resting and growing.)

I ust to drive my husband crazy with that.  Is the baby okay?  Is the baby okay? Oh no.  Is the baby okay?  Haha.  Don't worry.  Your baby is okay.  :)

  5. i think your baby gets more relaxed when you do were you moving alot this morning?

  6. no need to worry , he might just be changing like his sleep cycle or something lol .

for me i got a little scared as well because i use to feel my baby move all the time but all of a sudden i stopped feeling her move but then one day i stayed up late watching tv and i felt her move like crazy so i guess shes been awake and moving while i was asleep.

  7. No don't be worried.

  8. 10 movements in 2 hours if you cant get 10 in 2 call your dr and/or L&D they will want to monitor you.  Also you can try drinking something ice cold or sugary to see if that helps get your kick counts in/  Dont forget twice a day every day 10 in 2  Also its better to err on the side of caution.  The people at L&D will blow you off if they are full a lot of the time so call your Dr first.  Good luck!

ETA, a movement is considered a roll punch or kick, not hiccups.  Also the stress test just to check to make sure your baby is doing well and to see if you are contracting.  I have had several stress tests and also two children.  They want to know ANYTIME your movements are off as this is often the first signs of trouble.  I'm not trying to scare you just to pass on what I was told.
