Yeah, i'd back it. If even just half the drivers in the country didn't show up for work for one day because of the price of petrol it would hit the economy hard enough for the government to sit up and listen.

The last time it was utter chaos.

I rely totally on the buses to get to and from work - it's too far to walk both ways, as it is 9 miles door to door one way.  And last time the bus company that operates the only route went bust (into recivership) because they couldn't get any fuel.  If a larger bus company, who have gor their own fuel pumps, hadn't stepped in at the last second I would have lost my job.  The company my Dad works for made all the staff take a holiday until it ended, as they have to drive to get to the kind of work they do.

They tried that one before christmas & no-one turned up, the instigators called us all cowards!! The public can only moan & no action these days, too much legislation means you are arrested as soon as you try to demonstrate.Be interesting to see if the Chancellor raises the taxes on fuel again soon, dont you think.

We are £1.09 per litre, I need a small mortgage to fill my car. I live in the country miles from anywhere and I need my car, no buses! It`s not fair.

Mz Chicta below me, US prices are in gallons, you only pay 41pence per litre. If you were on our prices you would pay $9.37 per gallon!!

we have a big family, and so need a big car, and the cheapest car we could get was a deisel, here is is £1.15 per litre. so yes.
