Question:

Do you think there should be a National Social Security Lottery?

Are you for or against? Imagine the funds it would generate.Do you feel it would be mis managed by the Federal Government? Please don't take shots at me I just wan't input.Im not for or against.I just want opinions.

  1. A National Lottery for any reason: Social Security, Education, etc is not a bad idea, but I have no faith that our Government would stay out of its pockets.  

    The temptation to use some of those funds for pork barrel projects is way too high.


  2. You do not say how the lottery would work.  If SS were to run a lottery like state governments do, it would not work.  Any money earned by the lottery would be spent by Congress.  

    Our key to future stability is to reign in spending by the government.  Until we find a way to keep spending at or below tax revenues, we will have the problem of "not enough money."

    I propose the US government take over everything in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.  Then the government sells everything to foreigners.  If any money is left, it goes to the former property owners.  HHI is awash in money and serves no useful purpose.
