Like if someone started an organization that built nice clean apartments, schools, provided food, etc to people who consented to be sterilized would you support this?

Why feed people who are are going to reproduce so that in the next years 3x as many people are starving?

  1. No. You can decide to help somebody, or decide not to. But it's morally wrong to expect somebody to make such a choice (food in exchange for possibility to conceive). It's extremely ignorant and it doesn't sound like you want to help others at all.

  2. No, let them self terminate

  3. no I thought mengel was dead

  4. No.    Something just doesn't seem right about that to me.   It doesn't match up with what my Grandma taught me.

  5. I would support it. In a heartbeat.

  6. Who do you think would fund them?

The principal is fairly logical but we mustn't forget human rights. These aren't dogs we're talking about.

  7. Overpopulation is probably the biggest crisis we face here on Earth. The planet's not getting any larger and the resources are dwindling. But any solution that targets a specific group is doomed to failure. Human rights activists would cry foul. And it wouldn't make sense to the Africans.

If your cultural upbringing encourages many children, that's what you're going to do. If most of your children die, all the more reason to have as many as possible.

I, personally, would like to see aid in the form of education and birth control. Sterilization could be offered, but not required for aid.

  8. What you are suggesting is medical, sanctioned genocide.  How about we sterilize bigots and idiots?  Now, there's something I could support, and we can start with you.

  9. OK so feed all the starving people so that as they age, their culture dies out completely so we never have to worry about you or your descendants again?  Yeah, that sounds real good!

  10. What a hateful thing to suggest. A better idea would be to educate and support people who are in need. No one would ever agree to sterilizing themselves at the thought that their culture was not worth the effort.

  11. Bookish is right - this is basically medical genocide and there have been HUGE debates about this. In WA state a few years ago, some group started paying hookers to go through a sterilization operation and ended up in huge trouble.

This is completely wrong and immoral. I can't even believe someone is suggesting this, and I seriously hope you aren't serious. Sit down and think about the repercussions of this for a bit. You'll figure it out.

  12. That's silly.   These are people, not cattle

  13. Ok  j f that was an ignorant response. That's kinda inhumane to shower people with gifts so they won't reproduce.

  14. that's a good concept but will never come to pass. African nations will continually repeat history. the whites organize and build the economy then, as history shows, the blacks, under the guise of freedom revert back to tribalism and their sub-human cultures ideology of killing, rape and plunder

  15. I won't even answer such stupidity.

  16. no they tried that in Puerto Rico, its a bit racist

  17. Are you talking about in Africa or in other countries?  How would you like to be sterilized for the simple fact that you were going to have kids and add to the world's population that is already too big for the resources on the planet?  Put yourself in their situation.  Also, there is a law for this reason in China.  People can only have one child and due to this, most people want to have boys.  Hence, there are very few girls.  Hint: you have to have both sexes for the ethnic group to continue to survive.  I think I've said enough.

  18. Where in Africa are you talking about? It's a huge continent, and not all are experiencing poverty. i don't know, if you were in that situation, would you agree to having your tubes severed for food? You never know, there may be many women there who also do not want to bear more children as well and may welcome the offer. I just think we have to be careful with the lines we cross, and go about 'offering' things in a legitimately wanting to help way. Who is to fund all of this surgery, and the sterile hospitals to provide this in? We have many of people here who might accept the same offer, and seriously need it. What happened to working to helping people in our homeland first? Just curious

  19. I don't think we should give better treatment to those who get sterilized.

Give condoms to anyone that wants them, education and medicines. Thats quite cruel and condecending of you, the African people have, and need, their pride.

  20. Nope.  Charity begins at home.

  21. Every life has an equal worth

An unborn life has just as much worth

get over youself. if you wanna stop reprodoucing go ahaed

  22. Hmmmm. So  you're saying that the only people who should reproduce should be the one's without housing, education, healthcare, etc. I don't really see the long-term benefit.

  23. no

  24. No, starvation is also a domestic crisis, that the United States hasn't gotten a handle on, even here on our very own soil. So, what interest would we have helping other countries, unless there was an incentive for us(Americans) in return? Yet, we continue to be the "mother Teresa's" of the free world. It doesn't make sense to involve ourselves in more foreign affairs, when we have so much turmoil that needs addressing, right here in the United States of America.
