  1. There have been rumors about many kings having been g*y throughout the ages.  King James of England/Scotland comes to mind.

  2. Probably has been . just not acknowledged

  3. I'm sure there already HAVE been g*y kings.  They just didn't announce it to the world.

  4. There have been many kings whose preferences were more for men/boys.

Alexander the Great, many of the Caesars of the Roman Empire (including Nero), King James I of England for examples. They also had wives and mistresses so they could have sons to inherit their thrones.

Because a king (and his kingdom) believed he was divinely appointed to the throne, his sexuality was not an issue, as long as he provided legal heirs.  And outside of his court, his choice of bed partners was not usually public knowledge.

In today's instant knowledge media circus, however, a g*y king may find it more difficult to stay in the closet and retain his throne. Few countries now believe in the divine right of kings to do what they choose.

  5. There have been many in the past.  You can take this website with a grain of salt, but it's a list.

  6. Richard I was supposed to have been.

  7. There have been g*y kings.

  8. I think the first allegedly g*y king was William Rufus [William II].

  9. There were a few European Kings who were "speculated" to be homosexuals. Some famous ones included Prince Albert II of Monaco, King James I of England, Edward II of England, Alexander The Great, King William II of England, King Louis XIII of France.

  10. You besides Richard I of England?

    Edward II?

    James I?

  11. Yes, but they probably don't show it.
