I have had some input on one name, but I have a couple more. I just want to know how many people really think they are too long and stuff and how many people think I should just go with what I like.

*Ayla Evolet Desideria Maria Chavez - Hendershot

*David Dewayne Hendershot, Jr.

*Mikel Maliki D'Leh Chavez - Hendershot

*Anastasia Aurora Sue Chavez - Hendershot

Most of the names have specail meaning to me and I know my fiance really only wants 2 kids, but I want at least 4... I love these names and I don't want to drop any of them in case I can't have as many as I want... I'm also having trouble even getting pregnant with the first so I have no idea how many I will be ABLE to have... What do you guys think?

  1. I think some of the names like Mikel and Anastasia are pretty good. Just don't give an awkward name that no one will be able to pronounce or spell. I might stay away from using Maliki right now personally, but it is definitely your choice. None of those names would scar someone for life, at least in my opinion.

  2. What the heck is with the random apostrophes and capitalization?  That looks so low-class and stupid.  D'Leh?  That sounds like a f**t.

Anastasia is gorgeous!  Aurora is ok.  A little bit of a mouthful and the name of a crappy city in my state, but I can see the appeal.  Sue is too abrupt.  David is great, Dewayne is a hillbilly name.  The other name doesn't appeal in any way.

  3. I like the first two. It isnt bad if it's long though, they usually only use the first name, mines - Oscar Valentin Chavez-Robles.

  4. i really really like Ayla. it sounds just beautiful. Anastasia is pretty, but it reminds me of the kids disney movie, "Anastasia." i don't know if you have ever seen it. it is kinda long, but you could always make up a nickname such as Anna, Ana, or Stasia.

  5. if it is special  to you it should not matter but personally i would go with # 1 and i would consider growing up with a name that you choose as in the baby's prospective =)

  6. Jr.

  7. Don't ever name your kid a junior; your child needs his own identity. The other names are nice, but I feel that they should not be so long. Don't burden your child with the excess of names just because you feel obligated to use them. One or two middle names is plenty.

    Suggestions to pare it down:

    1. Remove "Maria" (too common/boring)

    2. Don't use

    3. Remove "Maliki" (Mikel Miliki is awkward to say and looks repetitive)

    4. Remove "Sue" (too common/boring)

  8. to me it is all what the parents like..long names don't really matter you do not introduce yourself "hi i am jon micheal andrew david johnson garcia"!to me if the parents like it that is all that matters "popularity", "commonness" all that does not matter to me if the name seems right to me and my husband we will use it!and i think your names are gorgeous especially considering you might only have 2! i especially like Aurora one of my favorite names..keep your names just the way they are!

good luck and as i have heard lots of baby dust to you!!
