There has been a monthly average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq theater of operations during the last 22 months and a total of 2,112 deaths. That gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000 soldiers.

The firearm death rate in Washington D.C. is 80.6 per 100,000 persons for the same period.

That means that you are about 25% more likely to be shot and killed in the U.S. Capital than you are in Iraq.

Conclusion: Maybe its time the U.S. pull out of Washington?

is this true or just a case of there being lies, d**n lies and statistics?

  1. True.

  2. I suggest we level DC with a bulldozer and throw Congress into the Potomac.

Move the capital to Kansas City in the heart of the nation.

    Or Branson.  LOL

  3. I think Philadelphia is even worse! But maybe you need to include the Iraqi deaths to test your theory otherwise it is lies..etc.

  4. Also, just as ironic, more americans die in THIS country from drive-bys than all the military personnel in both iraq and afg. will, yet our gov'mnt and media says nothing to that effect. The real terrorist are here in our own country, only we call them gangbangers and drug dealers, not terrorists.
