  1. 1. No its not racists its perception, it has nothing at all to do with and preconceived notion of superiority just identifying an ethnic group based on blood lines.

    2. No discussion on history is racist. You can recount as many events as you like they have no bearing on race just events.

    3. this isn't racism its bigotry, or better yet its based on personal preferences and has nothing to do with how a person perceives a race it is instead based on physical attraction. No different than a man who prefers big b***s over flat chested women.

    4. No that's not racism either its someone who is trying to compare evils and is using two events as examples.

It would be racist to say blacks should be slaves because they are incapable of meaningful jobs or cant be trusted with postitions that require intelligence.

It would be racist to blame Jews for all the problems that occur in the world because of what they are.

Racism is the notion that a given race is inferior or Superior based on their race. Its a term that is used far too often and incorrectly. Labeling someone or some group racists is typically used by a given race to censor them.

"If you don't vote for Obama your a racist!"

"If you disagree with Obama your a racist!"

"If you vote for McCain your a racist!"

I have heard all of these lines and more, none of them are rooted in action or fact instead they are used to shame people into submission.

  2. 1. No- Heritage is not chosen its inherited, and whatever social group you most closely identify will probably be the one people associate you with, that is not racism it is human nature.

    2. No- History is full of injustice.

    4. No- Neither can be compared to the other, its ignorant not racist.

  3. No No NO NO!!!

  4. 1. That one drop nonsense was racist garbage whites thought up a couple generations (or more) ago that determined that others who even if mostly white but not 100% weren't "pure" enough to be in the same room with their pasty selves.

That bit was pretty much racist enough, even white against white, that they were basically the KKK attitude of that time frame.

    2. Somewhat, but as in most things, it also depends on how you come across to others. A person who talks mostly about the negatives and *does* little is likely to lose their audience. But a person who can say "that DESPITE all that has happened we've gotten this far, I've gotten this far, and I'm going to go even this much *farther*" is likely to have a much more captive audience.

When it comes down to it...we've all been over the history time and time again. America needs to step foot away from the conference table more and into the ACTION stage of this debate. We know what needs to happen, but too many are not willing to put in the effort it takes. A lot of people seem to just be waiting for it to magically cure itself, as if we're just so sure we'll win the lottery if we just sit here long enough.

    3. Well, all types are beautiful, but people do have their preferences as to what they personally are attracted to. If an individual is saying that, no it's not racist. If someone didn't like my type, then it's no big deal, they just aren't into what I am. But if it's, say, a modeling agency, or any other collective business or group, then yes it would totally be racist.

    4. No, it's not racist (as you are comparing events, not race), however it is unthinking, unsympathetic, and rude. History should not be forgotten. But like anything of the past that is best left there, we should not dwell on it. Just like a bad past relationship, you won't move forward if you leave yourself dwelling on it forever. Remember it, learn from it, but look ahead, resist the temptation to look behind and when you do, just keep it to quick glances.

Only one correction though...whites who practiced slavery...before they abused blacks or anyone else, who do you think their first slaves were? Slavery wasn't just suddenly an idea they had when they hit "America." Back in Europe *many* RICH whites made slaves of the lower white classes early on.

  5. 1. Yup

    2. Yup

    3, Yup

    4. Yup

  6. I say the answer to yes . although I am not sure for 2#   Because I am mixed and it is hard because, here the whites don't see you as white, and Black female look down upon you . My thing is that I believe that Blacks need to stick together we are the only nationality that will put ourselves down in the blink of an eye. why would any person say forget slavery . Yes, it was bad for us. but we will forget all of our history so many teachers taught of a man who didn't even discover anything. I say if we forget our past , we will never  know how far God has brought us from. Or how important our future means to us just like voting. so many of our people struggled to learn how to read so they could have the freedom to vote. and now our generation has to have smoke rings fired up our behinds just to vote. Like have celebrates to entice us to vote.

  7. do you think it's racist that

    1) there is BET (Black Entertainment Television) but no WET (White), or AET (Asian)?

    2) minorities are given special treatment in terms of college acceptance regardless of GPA's and other requirements for majority students?

    3) In majority black counties,  esp the south, a white person seeking a job or seeking a promotion in a job will most likely lose out to a black person of equal or lesser abilities?

    4) we won't even start on the topic nicknames that Blacks call one another that other races can't even begin to think about saying aloud.

You probably don't really care what I think at this point, but I think all of the questions you asked are the exact reasons why so many minorites feel as if they are still being "held down"  Let it go, and move on with your life.  Instead of dwelling on the past, improve the future for yourself and children, and stop using the past as a crutch, or an excuse.

EDIT:  I am sure that somewhere in the world there are Black rulers, bankers and so on.  And really, were you a slave?  No?  Then you don't know what it was like.  You honestly have no idea because those conditions do not exist anymore.  No more do you know what it is like to be a slave than I know what it was like for a White to own one.  I can imagine it... but I don't know, and neither can you.  It is impossible to know, regardless of the stories you have heard, books read and movies watched.
