  1. I'm trying to give politicians, especially the Republicans after selecting Sarah Palin as VP, the benefit of the doubt that they believe its in the country's best interests to focus on the storm & potential damage rather than their convention.

  2. Both.

  3. yall need to vote n bush thats all i gots to say

  4. Gustav is definitely effecting the convention. If they go on full blown with it the Dems will cry that the Republicans don't care. If they don't the Dems will say that we have nothing to have a convention about. It really doesn't matter since McCain already nullified the Dem convention with his VP pick of Palin.........

  5. Both, but contrary to what Michael Moore thinks, this might work to their benefit!

All of them can not show up saying they're too busy with Gustav and use that against the Obamaniacs.

  6. It's a huge slap in the face for republicans.  They're going to wait till after the hurricane and say, "see we care about the poor."

  7. Gustav or no Gustav... aren't all GOP conventions pretty toned down?  After all where talking about conservatives (stick up butt) people.

HEALINE: Bush, Cheney to skip GOP convention due to Hurricane Gustav
