Seriously, if Jamaican yam is SOO healthy, how long do you think it will take for USA to insist that yam be declared a 'banned substance' at the next olympics?

LOL!! Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they did it.

I was watching a program on Usain Bolt and the narrator of the program spoke about a study conducted on Jamaican athletes and what was found in them was a natural protein which enhanced their ability to run.... so seeing that its the good ole Trelawny Yam  that most of these athletes eat.... I wouldn't be surprised if they say its the Yam that has the protein and it has to be banned... because its a drug.

But guess what You can't keep a good man down!!!

I think they'll have a very hard time banning yam.  Because first of all they will have to be able to test for yam.  I don't know if their tech is so advanced.  What I do know is that I need to start planting yam now, because that going to catch good price.

But then again what if when them ban the yam, Jamaicans start running even faster?  What would they do?  Because I don't think is the yam alone.

This is my theory:  You si, when Jamaicans eat the yam, cornmeal dumpling, dasheen cocoa, sweet potato and don't forget the good old cassava and go out in that sun, that is were they get their burst of energy.  And you see when they go on the field, they just "BOLT".

LOL! This is so true. it wont be long before dem get jealous because wi a gi dem hard competition. But then again you cant ban good food! If that be the case them need fi ban pizza and KFC from Jamaica too.
