Do you think this house is haunted?

My friend lives in a house with her Dad and their dog. Their dog goes wild when ever anyone wants to open the attic door, he can even tell if the attic door has been opened while he is outside, he will run to it and bark like crazy. They have lost objects only to find them at a later time in the attic. We left there one evening and turned the TV off, when we returned home the light waqs on in the living room and the dog was watching animal planet.

That's certainly strange.  Perhaps the ghost was trying to appease the dog by turning on animal planet.

I am a believer in the paranormal so it's not that I doubt you but there really isn't enough evidence.  However, the dog barking at the attic is definitely suspect.

Continue to gather evidence and most importantly go with your gut.

If your friends have heard their names called and the dog is that upset, those are clues to an intelligent haunting.  I would ask them to set up some video and audio equipment just to see what they can capture while they are in bed or not at home.  Do it for about 1 month everyday.  See what the results are on tape.  If they feel that they have got something, look for groups in your area(this job is for you in the next month) have them go over groups who would be able to come in and help them rid themselves of the problem.

Either there is someone alive in your attic and doing these things around the house...or you have a spirit...or maybe there's an animal in your attic. For safety..I'd call the police and have them come and inspect your attic and also tell them all the all the things that have been happening. Don't say anything about a ghost though..or they might not even come to help you. THEY  might decide it's a ghost..if they're believers...but let THEM say it first! If there's an alive person in there...you need to know it.

Yes i think the house should be haunted. In India there is a belief that a dog can see the dead ones and can recognize bad thoughts. the dog must have recognized the spirit or the ghost. it fine unless the being dose not harasses your freind's family. but I do think the Mansion must be haunted.

I agree with the above, there is not enough evidence to say whether or not there is a haunting so to speak, however, I would be suspicious with what you told me. Those are certainly the signs ... ateast some of them. Does the dog wag his tail at t he attic or does his haunches go up with his tail between his legs? Does the dog seem to be afraid? Are there any cold spots? Does any one hear their name called?

Does the television  go on and off? Please keep us posted on this ... sounds interesting.

Tell them if they are going to live in the attic to please keep it down. Thank them for keeping the dog busy with animal planet, and to please shut the lights off when their done.

Sounds like they- it is trying to get your attention, now that you know, you can start communication, ask first their name and get a feel of their spirit.
