Roast dinners for Xmas lunch....

But it's summer here!!! Should be BBQ & Seafood...

What do you think????

My kids were brought up with traditional Christmas roasts, etc.  Then we decided to have a b-b-q.  Great.  A few years after one of them was in UK for Christmas day and decided to have a "traditional Aussie Christmas"  Yes he b-b-qed in the snow.

The beauty of Australia is that we are all so different.

A roast for xmas lunch is the more traditional way to celebrate.

A more contemporary view is to have a BBQ or a light summer dinner with lots of salads and seafood. Both are Australian! =)

Depends on Tradition!

I don't mind the ole Roast Turkey in the evening and the Seafood and BBQ at Lunch!!!  That's if I can fit it all in my stomach after all the beers!!

Its not Australian but it is traditional.

Personally I prefer the BBQ and Seafood lunch or even something as simple as ham, bbq chicken and a few salads.

Best part about being in Australia is we have a choice.

I had a seafood lunch (lots of prawns) followed by a BBQ dinner this year.

for christmas lunch we normally have a roast... its tradition for my family lol. but in aus. there's choice :) if you want seafood and a barbie then have it :)

Our family already does this and have done so for a few years now, because Christmas time here in Australia is just to hot and besides I love my seafood yummmmmmy. Oh plus a few different salads also.

It's not really Aussie or "not Aussie". It's what you like to do as an individual. If you like roast dinners, fine! No probs with that!

Definatly, HEAPS of seafood and nibbles all day long till u literally cant fit anymore in!

i like cold roast meats & salad

or a BBQ

no hot meal for christmas
