Do you think this is a good agility dog?

ok she is a red healer or an australian cattle dog she is about 3 and is already jumping through hoops pretty well she will only be trained in jumper trails only so tell me here are some pictures

  1. Yes of course. Cattle dog's are bred to herd, and herding dogs are great at agility. She is adorable and good luck. Hope you win some agility competitions.  


  2. My red heeler was an INSANE jumper (she could do back flips) and was FAST to boot.

    But being able to jump through hoops isn't what agility is about.  They have to follow your directions more than anything!!!!!  I would work on obedience first, because an active dog like an ACD will naturally do the course.

  4. While photos speak volumes, this isn't true for agility.

    Just find a local training arena with open times and work her through the course. Once she gets the hang of it, time her and compare her times to times in your area (there is typically an agility line posted inside the arenas).

    My pomeranian/sheltie mix can clear a course in 32.36 seconds. She's in the 12 inch division.
