  1. Canada is a very multicultural society, and no way are we ever going to change our flag, as it already represents that. Obviously the people of many cultures are attracted to the British way of life, which is way they are immigrating there in droves. Therefore the Union Jack already is a representation of that multicultural society as well as the British society people are desperate to become a part of. IMO opinion, of course.  


  2. No... some form of islam idolatry would be more descriptive.... the UK is lost... all bow down and face west... so that the appropriate end is facing mecca

  4. this flag is not about the multiculturalism of britain it is simply to represent wales, which is not represented at all in the current flag. the black and yellow is from the st. davids banner

  5. This flag design has nothing to do with multiculture in the UK - its simply the union jack with the st davids cross in it - st david of wales?!

    Its the union jack incorporating the (or one of the) welsh flags.

  6. yes, I would mind! It has not purpose, historically. The Union flag is just that, It was created when the Kingdoms of England and Scotland united. Wales is not a Kingdom, it is a principality. It has it's own flag, which is proudly flown in many places, but the cross of St David does not belong in the Union flag. Besides which, it looks ridiculous!

  9. I don't quite understand why you want to change the pattern of the flag. I think it is perfectly fine as is. Plus, it looks like both the British flag and the German flag got mixed together. It's a very odd combination.

  11. The Union Flag is just that. It's composed from the flags of the constituent countries of the UK. Wales is not represented as Wales was then part of England.

    Keep our flag.

    Anything to stop people waving the things in the name of some god awful racial or national "pride".

    I don't believe in flags though, or borders. I'm not a maniac radical crusty, (well I'm a bit crusty sometimes).. but yeah.. One people, one planet. Ditch the flags I say!

    Man Utd Supporters and Liverpool Supporters all wear the same shirt when England is playing...

    So is it just that you are proud to be whatever "they" are not part of? Whoever "they" happen to be on the day?

    Most folks abroad seem to talk of the rich historic heritage of the UK.  Seems a shame to change from such an historic symbol even if it fails to represent our modern society.

    Perhaps the flag should simply be totally White, to represent the complete fullness of the Spectrum?  If we want to get really silly about it I'd rather see a beautiful rainbow

  19. The proposed flag looks like something the third reich would have used if they had successfully conquered Britain. It's quite hideous.

    I think the flag has enough colors. And Australia and New Zealand wouldn't be too happy with the change, since that means their flags will look outdated.

  20. Its ideas like that, that cause Race problems when before there wasn't any. Politically correct liberals don't realise every time they open their mouths they have the opposite effect than the one they desire.

  21. No, stick to tradition and keep the old flag. That new design isn't too bad but I much prefer the flag as it is now, it's way more colourful if you ask me. If it needs to be changed at all, perhaps they should add something to represent Wales on there.
