My moms friend dog had puppies and the friend said she would give us one for free. So we went to see them(their about 3 weeks old so we have to wait a while to get them) and my mom liked one and I liked another one. My mom's friend said we could take two if we wanted and it would still be free. Well I was thinking about making a powerpoint on why we should get two which I think will work. Do you think thats a good idea? And also do you have any other ideas?

(don't say its immature please, im only 14 so its really not immature to me)

  1. What are your reasons? If the only reason you think you should get two is because you like one that is different from your mom, I don't know if that's a great idea anyway. Does your mom have the money for double vet bills and do you have the time to train TWO puppies? It's not easy.

If your mother understands all of this, I suppose a powerpoint isn't a bad way to go..

  2. thats a great idea! im 14 also, and really need to convince my mom as well, thanks for the idea

  3. That sounds like a good idea. You could also give her a paper you wrote about the good things about having 2 dogs, like theye will not be lonley!=)

  4. That is actually a great idea.

If you put some good points in the presentation,

    it will convince you mother,

as well as she will be convinced since you put so much effort into it,

showing your really willing to work hard with them.

    Good Luck

  5. Well, a Powerpoint would be a good way to present points like that. Really, though, it's very much better to get only one puppy at a time, and add a second dog to your home later on if you want one.  The reason is that if you get two puppies at the same time, they will learn to rely on each other for everything, and not you.  They can become very dependent on each other to the point where they look to each other for direction instead of you.  Plus, puppies are like having toddlers in the home, they have to be supervised 24/7, and they are a ton of work.  If you have one at a time, you can focus on that puppy, making sure it's getting the one-on-one attention and training it needs.  Then when you've got the first dog trained and bonded well to the family, you can think about adding a second dog to your home.

    Just something to think about...
