Do you think this is a good scenario for a story?

this guy gets murdered, and he wants revenge. when someone dies, a demon assigned to that person decides what kind of spirit he will become (basic, fire, water, etc.). his demon takes pity on him and wants the criminals to get what they deserve, so he turns him into an energy spirit. this means that he can communicate with people via radio waves, use microwaves as a weapon, etc. the demon trains him and he would probably supply the comedic relief. he hangs out at his friend's appartment.

Thats sounds like the movie Ghost, and if it worked there it would work again you will just need to put some new twists on it. Most demons are not nice, and they hate humans.
