  1. I'm having a hard time understanding this. So Who said she was kidding? Your child was kidding around when she stole the kids games?

So what did you do to punish her?

I don't think it's inappropriate for the teacher to follow through to see if your child is being disaplined at home. After all I am sure you told them you would take care of it.

  2. Unless, your daughter comes to school with bruises on her or the teachers are concerned with abuse, it is none of their business what punishment you give your daughter.  If a teacher was concerned about the punishment being severe, then the teacher should have talked to your daughter alone, not with other teachers.  That could be intimidating for a child.

  3. It's a fair question.  Teachers that are concerned ask questions.  You have a bigger issue here and it's your daughter stealing.  Focus on that.  The teachers are doing their job.

  4. The teachers acted appropriately and yes they can and do ask questions about discipline. They are probably concerned about childs welfare.  Why did your child lie about stealing?  That is not something to joke about.  Yes she should have been taken to principal. Lying is very serious as is stealing, along with discipline.  Maybe you need to talk to the principal and teachers, request a conference and determine what issues are arising. Who knows what child is saying if she lies so easily and then thinks she can get out of it. She needs discipline now.

  5. wtf thats totally not their business!!!!!! i cant beleive someone would ask that, especially to a child!!! Teachers jobs are at school, not at home. Thats a very personal question, and i think if the teacher asks ur kid any more questions like that you should have a little talk with the teachers, or eve nif it gets worse the princaple. who are they to say that she even did get punished??!!!
