Do you think this is stupid or lazy?

Many kids starting to use this site to find short cut for their homework.

They should finish their homework by themselves, right? They cant ask others to do the homework for them.

Well, if they have a serious question it's cool.

Like to understand something coceptually rather than the mechanics they would have learned in school?

Sometimes you just need a little push in the right direction or to have someone else explain it in a different way.

yeah,but this site is mainly for sharing the knowledge they know..sometimes it might be correct and guesses......it is not good if they rely on answers. they can cross check

I think it's great that kids have access to all this information now.

Remember, if you rely upon others in your work and work together to make something happen, that's called "teamwork."

In school, it's called "cheating."

I'll take teamwork over cheating anyday, because the real world doesn't work like school.

I don't see anything wrong with asking questions. It's a great way to share ideas. And so what if it's for their homework? Would you call them stupid and lazy if they wanted to discuss homework with their friends? It's pretty much the same here, except we're discussing with a wider group of "friends"

If it's to get a shove in the right direction, then it makes sense.  If the intention is to hopefully get somebody else to do the homework for them, then it's a cheat strategy that might seem to make short term sense, it saves time, but could do middle term harm, in that it saves learning how to learn and learning how to apply what you've learned.

I've no reason to think it's any more stupid or lazy than normal adult behaviour.

If they rely on answer on this site for their homework, they're doom. Many answers are just not detail enough, inaccurate or personal guesses.
