Do you think this is western influence?

My family is of Chinese descent, cousins and siblings all born in the U.S. My sister and I have our dad's eyes which are not slanted, big, and double lid. It's just that she seems full of herself. Whenever she sees another Asian person with small slanted eyes, she makes fun of them. She says things like "omg her eyes are so tiny and small, thats ugly!"

A lot of people mistaken us for another race or ethnicity because they expect every Asian person (especially East Asians) to have small slanted mono lid eyes. So is it western influence that makes her feel better than Asians with small eyes?

  1. To some extent, it probably started off with western influence but it is now her ego that influences her to think this way. She shouldn't feel any special just because she doesn't have "asian" eyes, which I think are absolutely gorgeous. For one she had no choice about what type of eyes she has, so no cookie for her. And second if she had slanted eyes naturally she wouldn't be so quick to point out that so called "flaw" in everyone else. Is she not Asian herself?

I think you should have a chat with her about why she acts that way if it truely bothers you. Bring her off her high horse.

  2. Actually, it sounds like your sister is very immature.

  3. No not western influence, Your sister's just a straight up b*tch who's full of herself because one of her features aren't the norm in China.

Little does she know that eyelids have nothing to do with beauty
